The Warriors and Kings have a simple trade that works for both sides.
A simple swap of Sabonis/DeRozan for Kuminga, Butler's contract, and draft assets from The Warriors for Sabonis and taking on dead money.
The Warriors get size, rebounding, play-making, and scoring.
The Kings get a young player with star potential given 32-36 mins per night, draft assets, and a contract that can be moved to the contender of Butler's choice once he is cleared and ready to go.
In the interim Scott Perry and Doug Christie have a strong defensive-minded personality in the building to help mentor young Kings(plus he has a great relationship with Kuminga)
He can be told immediately that he is here to help with culture building but as soon as he is ready to go, he can choose his new team.
It's the respectful way to approach a deal like this.
With Westbrook and Butler in The Kings building, they are building the right type of competitive spirit with very vocal leaders.
This allows for The Kings to start looking at a starting lineup of: Raynaud, Kuminga, Murray, Ellis, and either Clifford or Carter.
Veterans like Lavine, Westbrook, and Monk can fill bench roles.
Schroeder can be moved to a contender at the trade deadline to clear space for the younger guards.
Can't trade if teams don't want Kings players.
Deaaron was traded the day AFTER Luka. Not before.
