  1. Don't trade Barrett. Under any circumstances. Poeltl's gotta go. His problem's not gonna go away, AND he's got the bag. He's dragging the team down unfortunately. And now we're trying to talk management out of trading Barrett because of him. i'd rather see the raptors. Draft a 7'0 plus center from the international league and bring him in to our program.

  2. I never thought when the clocked rolled over and it was 2026 – I'd lose Bo and RJ within weeks!
..I hope they are able to deal IQ and keep RJ.

  3. Jakob is an amazing versatile center, Toronto fans are so fickle , don't appreciate what they have thinking that AD, Sabonis or Embid want to play in Toronto when nobody wants to play here. We should always appreciate this guy who was a key part of the OG bench mob and always is a professional adaptable player with a positive attitude team mindset. So valuable we were able to get Kawhai and Green for him. Short memories these fans have.

  4. Even if raptors do this trade I would like them to get more C and PG depth as if you start Shead we are very thin at PG. Ochai + Battle + Mogbo + draft asset(s) = Day’Ron Sharp + Ben Saraf. Ben is young but I think he contributes more in the future and Darko and mold him into what he wants from a playmaker.

  5. Sabonis is going to make 49m – how does this help the luxury tax when we still need to pay for someone to replace rj and will still need a backup centre
People acting like rj a 20 point per game scorer is so easy to replace and not have to pay.

  6. I think Malik Monk can help our perimeter defence & is a better shooter, so I’d take him over Keon Elis. I wouldn’t trade IQ though. He can run pick and roll with Sabonis.

  7. Has no one ever seen bad luck before? Stuff happens, it is what it is. Can't hate every guy who gets hurt

This whole live and die by everyday and the sky is falling stuff never made sense. How many 1.5 year rebuilds filled with rookies and Sophmores end in "the only time is now, make rash decisions, fire everyone yada yada"

  8. Trades Jr b,golden state warriors, trades knick NY, trades Boston Celtics, trades det pistons, trades olrondo magic, wish wish dream

  9. Rj is a home-grown person plus its gonna be really hard to replace his game… we talked about raptors being pushed back a few years of winning a championship because of covid and this possible trade is gonna push us even further which is not ideal especially since we are looking to win

  10. I don't think people realize just how good Sabonis is. His father was a top 3 player of all time. His DNA screams make this trade alone.

  11. Why would anyone else trade for Poetl if we don't even trust him to play and it's looking like he might be done

  12. I would not trade RJ for anybody let alone Sabonis even though I wouldn't mind having Sabonis. I think we need to just get our center and see how we do in the playoffs and see what needs to be added to take us to the next level.

  13. It was incredibly stupid for Bob Webster, in the first month following the end of the Raptors’ presidency of Masai Ujiri, to have agreed to offer Jakob Pöltl a contract whose start was to have been July 2027, the start of the second season after this one. Webster should have instead left negotiating, of a new contract, until this off-season at the earliest to find out if the centre would manage to stay healthy. That contract no doubt is a rather ugly one, with an average per-season cap hit of over US$28 million.

For this NBA season the respective per-roster salary floor and cap were US$139.182 million and US$154.647 million. Of the NBA’s 30 teams, all but two have cap hits of their rosters that go above the salary cap although unlike with the NHL’s salary cap, the NBA salary cap is rather soft.

  14. Keon Ellis is good defensively but he seems below average in every other category. If we are giving RJ and Poetl I would want Sabonis and Monk or what is the point. In that senario I dont want to give up a 1st rd pick. One to two 2nd rounders or move on.

I would go to the Nets see if they take Poetl and Ochai straight up for Nick Claxton and add the 2026 first rounder for compensation. At least you're getting shot blocking big and then send two 2nds and a cheap player for Jay Huff from the Pacer. You then have two highly defensive centers with upside. I would sign RJ to a new contract and just eat Quickleys salary it is what it is. We sign guys to high contracts cause we cant get people to sign, you cant start trying to trade them the year after signing.

  15. If only there had been an entire year that we were tanking to allow Jak to get his back problem under control.
Jak and the front office prioritized intermittent short term play last year over recovery for long term availability.
Pretending to be surprised about this makes you look like a noob.

  16. I’ve been watching you a long time Ben you’ve officially lost your mind at three minutes and 10 seconds you say Bobby Webster should call you😂😂😂

  17. As a kings fan, Ellis is alot better then Monk. Monk is a 6 man on a ok team while i can see Ellis being a lock down guy for a great team.
