  1. Coop can have points, rebounds, and blocks—he’s a stat-sheet stuffer. Pure winning DNA. Just give him good teammates who aren't old and injury-prone, and we're going to be alright, Dallas Mavs.

  2. When he charges toward the basket with his speed it consistently catches defenses off guard, especially off the pass or from 1 dribble. He is explosive and equals points.
I didn't expect him to have that much aggression on his drives this early. He has been drawing fouls, dunking on people, confusing zone defenses, forcing defenders to move off wing shooters. His penetration with his agility and speed is paying huge dividends. It also frees up so much space because he's got guys backing up below the key to try to stay with him. Those stop and pops are there every game.
I like where he's at. I didn't expect him to be this far along but he's showing a lot of conscientious team hoops. He does a good job of keeping his passing options in his peripheral vision for those kicks.
For his size, it's nice to see him getting putbacks. His statline is sometimes confusing because he'll play close to 30 min and have like 2 or 3 rebounds. He should be crashing a lot more consistently and fighting for boards with the goal of double-digit rebounds. He isn't a massive man yet, but neither was Dennis Rodman. Technique and effort get rebounds, not just strength.
Overall, he's doing a solid job for his age. I think he's better than I expected, so when I see him improve so rapidly in certain areas I am always pleasantly surprised.
It'll be interesting when players start talking sh*t to him and stop being nice to him. Everyone knows he's a kid, but at some point he's gonna start being viewed as a threat and be treated like one. I'm taking bets on who tries him first. I think it'll be a younger player trying to get cred and attention.

  3. Deceptively quick and even longer than advertised. He never seems to be
Without an option on the offensive end and that the part of his game we thought would come last.
