North Carolina vs. Virginia Condensed Game | 2025-26 ACC Men’s Basketball
In Charlottesville, the No. 22 North Carolina Tar Heels and the No. 14 Virginia Cavaliers played another classic with the Heels coming away with an 85-80 win. Caleb Wilson once again led Carolina in scoring with 20 points on 8-12 shooting to go along with 4 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 2 steals. Jarin Stevenson had his best game as a Tar Heel and made huge 2nd-half plays as he scored all 17 of his points after the break, and on multiple occasions broke a tie or gave the Heels the lead late. Seth Trimble added 16 points on 5-6 shooting, Luke Bogavac scored 14 on 3-5 shooting from three-point range, and Derek Dixon scored 11 points in the win. Thijs De Ridder led the Cavs with 20 points in a losing effort.

So many guys for Carolina today They had at least five players in double figures and their transition game was outstanding. The defensive effort in the second half was stellar

Honestly if we get out and run like we did in the second half against Virginia that will take us far in the big dance come March get back to Carolina basketball run and gun 8 seconds or less offense they have so many athletes got to make that the way they play they will overwhelm teams with this type of mentality

UNC fan here. We shot 45 percent from 3 and uva was below 30 percent from 3. It’s amazing what happens when we actually make our 3’s and stop the other team from doing the same. But here’s my question: if we can do it against a ranked team, why couldn’t we do it against two consecutive unranked teams on the west coast?! Makes no sense.
I'm glad that the Tar Heels found a way to win. As a Clemson fan, it's always fun to watch an ACC game! Good job by the Heels to find a way to win even when Veesaar didn't have his best game. Now I'm gonna have some fun with basketball before waking up tomorrow and remembering that Ole Miss is tampering with our football team.
