  1. Personally I'm not a big fan of this. I feel like the Raptors should try to duck the tax with a small move and potentially trade for a backup C instead for cheap. Nick Richards, Day'Ron Sharpe, and Goga Bitadze are some of the guys I'm thinking of

  2. What makes sabonis intriguing are the other potential pieces that can be attached like Ellis and monk. If those guys are coming to I'm kinda for it

  3. This years a wash… let’s just ride it out with what he have and not over pay just for a trade… we made the playoffs… it’s already a win… quickley is still NOT good enough at point guard or defence but at least he’s now contributing to scoring… they’ve found a way to adjust for now until the nba figures out this new scheme…

  4. Raptors are top 4 . These trades are for panicking teams . If you trade 3 starters for a guy that can't move the needle is stupid. Let's see how players look during the playoffs . Otherwise your not giving the guys who got us to #3 a chance .

  5. Raptors fans and YouTubers are, I don't know, dumb?! The team is winning with the core it has. Why trade members of the core for Sabonis?????? Find an answer that makes more sense! Raptors management is going to trade the wrong guys and there goes the season and the future.

  6. I'd rather target Sharpe, Goga, Huff etc as cheaper better fits as well as an Ayo from the Bulls

  7. IDK if Domantas Sabonis is what the Raptors need for the per-season cap hit that he carries (during what remains of his existing contract, over US$42 million, rising after this season and after next season). That said, there have been those games that this season the Raptors have played during which they could have used a competent so-called “big man“ who for those games they didn’t have.

  8. Give the kings Ochai and 2 srp for Eubanks and Keon. We should just role with this team.

  9. The only way I could see this trade happening and working out is if the Raptors make another trade after this one to acquire a backup Center that can rebound protect the rim.

We throw Ochai in trade talks maybe even Mogbo and see what we can get

  10. Players get hurt, and that's a fact.. they are winning and yes they need a backup center.. key word back up center. You need a center to back up and play about 10-15 minutes.

  11. If King don't want I Q then we don't want Sabonis. Beggars can't be choosers. They better Ad a first round unprotected pick with Sab9nis.
To me Sabonis is a UNDESIRED CONTRACT

  12. Sabonis would elevate Quickleys game so much to the point where he either becomes and actually valued guy to the team and helps us win, or he plays so good we can finally move his contract

  13. This narrative he’s a horrible defender is not accurate. He’s not a rim protecting shot blocker, but he’s a very smart team defender and poisitionally is good. Yak isn’t a rim protecting shot blocker either anymore.

To me it’s just lazy to say “bad defender” because he has enough ability on that end you can work with.
