The mavs future is not brighter than the Lakers. Please stop the cope. I’m not a lakers fan but if you think this roster will look the same next year, you have deluded yourself. The lakers, once they get rid of Jeanie, is going to clean house with the amount of expiring contracts off the books. Basically everyone but Luka is an expiring contract so they can decide who they want to extend. Austin will be one and Jake I think another but after that, guys will either have to opt into their player options (Ayton, jax, smart) or they are out of here. I think LeBron signs on a lesser deal. They even have more picks than yall too crazy enough. Yeah this team currently constructed is bad defensively and they have been hurt and even then, they are somehow the 5th seed in a stacked west. That’s the Luka effect for you. The Lakers will build this team to Luka’s strengths. Remember, even last year with an out of shape Luka and only 7 rotation players with no center, they won 50 games.
