Golden State Warriors Defense STIFLES Minnesota Timberwolves | NBA Trade Deadline Looming
On this episode of Locked On Warriors, Charlie Walter and Matt Kolsky break down a much-needed Golden State Warriors win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. The guys dive into the Warriors’ defensive intensity—highlighting the 26 turnovers they forced—and discuss what this means for the team’s short-term and long-term outlook. They analyze the standout performances of Moses Moody and Brandin Podziemski, debate the ongoing Jonathan Kuminga situation, and what the future might hold with the trade deadline looming and Steve Kerr’s uncertain contract status. There’s also a lively discussion about potential trade targets, including Domantas Sabonis, Trey Murphy III, and even the possibility of Zion Williamson becoming a Warrior. The episode ties it all together with thoughts on where the Warriors stand in the Western Conference, what moves they should consider at the deadline, and which young pieces are proving themselves for the future. Filled with insight, analysis, and some laughs, this show is a must-listen for Warriors fans following a season filled with ups and downs.

Excellent take by Kolsky. Actually profound
Warriors gotta go All in. You’re only 5 to 6 games back of the 3rd seed the season isn’t over. Make some trades
Ws bench are second in the friggin' NBA. this team with Butler was rounding into a good and interesting form. Now? time to look ahead. Ws are pretty much check mated in terms of trade given teh CBA. hey if Butler or Curry retires, do their salaries stop counting against the CBA?
No picks used deal move of JK & Buddy. Off season ala the Hamptons KD recruitment, see if Lebron would come for less to have another Olympic experience. And when Jimmy returns and the rest of this roster see what happens. It might not get a ring but might put some smiles back in the arena for everyone including Steph for his swan song.
Zion's gravity is similar to a meteorite. How does that work long-term?
I think it is time to move on from Steve and Draymond.
In every sport if there is a player doesn’t do what his coach asking from him, the player will be the first one to be blamed. But some people here see it differently. Anyway the front office should’ve picked a direction three years ago when Kuminga has his highest value to either keep him or sided with their coach but here we are
First of all
GO DUBS FUCK ICE
Second of all
If the Warriors is stupid enough to let Steve Kerr ergo he’ll be coaching the San Antonio Spurs next year and winning a chip
Sabonis is too expensive. If he was a lockdown defender in the paint, WITH his ability to facilitate and rebound, then maybe. But his skillset is redundant while we have Draymond, and Draymond is much cheaper and already knows how to get Curry shots. If we're investing in a big, then we need a rim runner who can block shots and rebound. I like Daniel Gafford–Cheap, young, and productive. As for a wing–We desperately need a reliable second option. Preferably a 3nD wing like a Trey Murphy–If we want pure scoring and rebounding, MPJ–(if we can talk BKN down to (1) 1RP. I don't know.. Outside of Giannis, there aren't a ton of 1 and done options available that the Warriors are willing to hedge their future on. Those post Curry 1RP's are going to be extremely valuable.
The saddest part is that you need a wing but you don’t make it play
Anyone could have coached this team to a title
Regardless kuminga is gone
Man Kolski breaking down the standings and how close we are really makes the Jimmy Butler thing hurt
I’m with kolsky on Zion in the sense that comparing Murphy Zion is ridiculous. Zion could be freaking amazing.
What happened to Kolsky he used to be solid. No he just lies
