Goodbye Jeremy!?

Goodbye Jeremy!?

Are the San Antonio Spurs actually trading Jeremy Sochan this season? Latest reports say the Spurs have given Sochan and his camp permission to explore trade options as the 2026 NBA Trade Deadline approaches — meaning San Antonio is open to deals, but no actual trade has happened yet. Sochan’s role has shrunk this year and he’s averaging career-low minutes, and sources say he could be dealt before the deadline. However, nothing is official right now and it’s still just trade market exploration.

  1. Looks like Jeremy is finally leaving San Antonio. What or who do you think the Spurs can get for him? Maybe a package deal? Thanks for watching and GO SPURS GO!

  2. sochan and barnes, and throw in olynik for the hell of it- for bobby portis. then bring up jones-garcia from the g-league. i don't know if that trade works, but it's what i'd want to do.

  3. It's so sad to see him go like this. I always thought he was a good presence on our team, had like a keldon type role, and against other teams, he would be the bad man, willing to do the dirty work and always be aggressive. It's so frustrating to not see him play especially when HB is playing so terribly. There's been moments when we need his defense and disruption so badly, but mitch will keep Harrison Barnes in. I wish they would find a way to work him into rotation, but either way, I hope the best for him… it feels like a Derrick white type heartbreak

  4. 3 and 1/2 seasons and Jeremy has no post game and cannot play the perimeter because of his poor shooting. 🤷🏿
Barnes may have lost his shot but he can still and does exploit mismatches on the block; KJ can beat defenders on the block if his three isn't dropping.
I suspect the Spurs like Sochan, but not for the price he and his agent are asking. I feel sorry for him , because he's a victim of Covid and injury which obviously hurt his development, but the team needs to evaluate CB and Victor wants to win now.
I like Jeremy, but the Team has more than enough guards who can drive the ball. Pop used him at the point because the team was short on PGs.
I wish him lots of luck, but it's gonna take time.

  5. I knew when we drafted Carter it was over for sochan…. I'm looking forward to Carter's development…

  6. Why didn't Johnson play him? Wtf? U think Mitch didn't like Jeremy. I don't like Mitch. He's trying to be Pop, and he will never be. And to be honest, he is not a good coach. The only, only reason the Spurs are good, is cuz the Spurs players are awesome. It has nothing to do with coach's. It's the players that are in the court.

  7. Had Mitch not been a rookie coach maybe there would have been a space to develop n use him on the new squad. Wish him the best though.

  8. It’s seems to me, Jeremy did something to land him in the doghouse. I’m starting to think it was something off the court. We may not hear about it, but the playing time stopping as suddenly as it has, says to me it can’t be him struggling alone. Especially when everyone on the team has struggled at some point.

  9. Perhaps package him with Devon… idk. As bad as things have been for Sochan, and Vassell's injuries, you have to think that SOME TEAM would see value in getting two lottery pick players. Lets hope for the best.

  10. Pairing him with Vassell in the Trae Young trade for Middleton would have been nice. Yabusele would be nice. Pair him with Draymond so he can have the most Rodman like mentor and take Horford.

  11. crazy, yet Spurs Nation talking bout getting an enforcer when they got Sochan sitting on the bench,he has never been a finesse player like they have tried to make him…Johnson must of never seen Pop coach "NASTY" again this is crazy…almost 40 years of watching the Spurs, this is the most talented team to date "1-12" stacked!!! Mitch freestyle style ball gonna get you 50-55 wins this season but freestyle style ball also gonna get you an early exit if we make the playoffs…this on the coaching staff…😠😡😤

  12. Brian Wrights failures: Sochan – 9th pick, Primo 12th pick, Branham 20th pick, Wesley 25th pick. Gotta do better in the 1st round

  13. I wonder if it's not an uncle- type situation, though my suspicion falls on his management instead of family. Someone has convinced him he's worth more than the Spurs are willing to offer. Or it may be the messing-with -somebody's-daughter theory. I don't think it's Jeremy's play. He's a valuable bench player at the least, and it looked like he had fixed the hitch in his shot but was never given the opportunity to prove it. I'll be sorry to see him go, if he does.

  14. If the Spurs are moving on from Sochan, I hope they go after Aldama. A real PF very versatile and on a good contract.

  15. Man this really sucks. They never gave him a real chance. He was always out of position and the coaching staff failed him with their experiments. Why do we have to trade away such a great defender?? Is their really nothing we can do to keep him
