Reaction to GIANNIS TRADE REQUEST from Bucks: Warriors, Knicks, Rockets, Timberwolves big suitors

Jason reacts to Giannis Antetokounmpo finally requesting a trade (sort of) from the Milwaukee Bucks and he goes through which teams have the best chance to get him between the Golden State Warriors, Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Miami Heat, New York Knicks, Minnesota Timberwolves, San Antonio Spurs, Toronto Raptors, and Orlando Magic. He explains why he thinks a partnership with Steph Curry feels like the best basketball fit.

  1. Mailbag question: If you were Boston, would you trade Derrick White for Miles Turner?

Saves Boston $3.1M and gets them closer to under the 1st Apron. They are currently $4M above it.

If they threw in Luka Garza, Chris Bouchet or Xavier Tillman (all $2.5M salaries) plus a 1st round pick or 2nd round picks, they’d get under the apron.

White can be traded for picks to another third contender team or kept to build up his trade value on a bad Bucks team.

  2. The downplaying of the value of GIANNIS ANTETOKOUNMPO, a top 25 all-time player and current top 3 player, is embarrassing Jason. You’ve been doing this since the offseason. Do you think the Bucks will just accept garbage in return????

  3. Jason I just wanted to reiterate probably everyone’s sentiment who watches your videos that this genuinely is the best nba content on the internet. Refreshing and insightful for us viewers who really aren’t interested in the narrative side of basketball. Hope your channel continues to grow!

  4. I think dame is a poor mans Steph. It wouldn’t work. But rockets with a sengun Eason 2 fillers and 3 unprotected 1sts plus swaps should get it done

  5. I don’t Golden State picks is enough for Milwaukee. Trading a generational player for just picks is not happening. Every great player that has been traded has gotten either very good young player or all star player back plus picks

  6. Jimmy+JK+Podz+Picks for Giannis+Kyle Kuzma

I am guessing they would want to get off Kuzma’s contract too. If they fancy off-loading Myles Turner’s contract too, trade Draymond. in 2027, they will have tons of cap space to stock pike more picks for rebuilds by facilitating trades like the Nets.

The more I think about this, I think this makes lots of sense for the Bucks. They don't need Jimmy+Draymond's performance for the rest of this season as they just need to tank. They get 2 picks this year and one from GSW in the trade. Spend 2026/27 to begin their development for these young players (Draymond and Jimmy might be helpful on and off the court). Come 26/27 off-season, they will be in an even better position for the rebuild.

  7. Duuuuuuuude… I got my hopes up reeeeal high right now! This exact potentiality is why we've been holding our picks! If Dunlevy makes this happen.. Screw it. I'll give him a statue too. The blender Steph and Giannis would put defenses in would break the league! Even with mediocre supporting players, it'd be clean look after clean look. But imagine if they work out getting Wigs back (rumors of JK for Wigs). That starting lineup of Steph, Melt, Wigs, Dray, and Giannis is a 2-way nightmare. And they can each head their own units while the other rests, so the non-Steph minutes are probably covered. This is 1.. MAYBE 2 rings at least. Pleeeeeeeeease basketball gods! PLEEEEEEEASE MAKE IT HAPPEN!

  8. You’re way off on Miami man. They have the best package out of all teams. They have players picks and swaps.

  9. WTF is he talking about Miami is the betting favorite to get him and Miami has the most young players Herro who is a all star 25 years old ,Ware who 21 7 feet jump out the gym and he shoots 40% from 3 and JJJ and they have ex contracts. This guy is just giving his opinion please don’t take him seriously.

  10. Bro I hate your take everything in your take is about Giannis and Steph Curry and their happiness. BRO 😈 their happiness Steph Curry already has championships. From the Milwaukee fan and organization all your trades are terrible. All of Golden state's picks on 2030 and 31 and 32. Plus Jimmy Butler. That makes zero sense for the bucks. Bros 2026 so they just going to do nothing and have Jimmy Butler for 4 years. I rather have the Knicks give us OG and they trade Bridges to the blazers and get off four pics back. And if Karl Anthony towns is included flip him for a first round draft pick. Instead of waiting for Golden state's 2032 pick. The bucs rebuild like Detroit did in the next 4 years

  11. Bro your rockets trade is trash 2. Do you hate Milwaukee bro. Every trade you do is Giannis going for weak trade value. Sebgun will be coming to Milwaukee as a All-Star in that trade bro you got to make these trades make sense. You keep sending the Milwaukee mediocre players trash in a couple draft picks for a generational talent 😂

  12. Not going to happen. I realize this is just another 'fun' trade take. Why would the Bucks make a trade under pressure with, what, 9 days left before the trade deadline? Especially with Giannis having serial injuries at this point. Unless the Bucks front office is stupid they wait until the summer and see what their options are. The options during the summer will almost certainly be better than what they could get now. Jason is an excellent hoops analyst but not much of a business man. Kind of surprised Giannis went public with a trade request. That's usually the kiss of death with a fan base that turns on their star player in an instant.

  13. Golden State have best package out there, Warriors 29,30,31 & even 32 pick is probably most valuable pick in the league. Steph not gonna be this good in 2-3 years and 35 years old Giannis in 2028-29 will not be enough to win it all (31 years rn is unable to lead to play-in)

  14. Me being a Bucks fan, I hope we don't trade to any other team besides the Hawks. I think they would give us the best Veteran/Young/Pick combo for it to be worth trading a top 3 player itl. The Hawks trading NAW, Rishacer, Newell, Okonkwu, and three firsts would be ideal. Of course Giannis and Thanasis would go to Atl. With the Hawks giving this away, It still keeps them with frontcourt depth, unlike if you replaced NAW with Porzingis. You'd have Giannis/Jalen/Porzingis/Kispert/Daniels while if you traded Porzingis it would be Giannis/Gueye/Jalen/Kispert/Daniels. When you trade the three first away, only one of those is Atl's own, being a 2030 first. The other two firsts are the swaps in 2026 & 2027 for the Bucks, and you could add another first with that. Some people will try to call it an overpay, but if you were to trade Jokic or Shai away, you'd want that package. I think some people get carried away with the idea of too many picks because of the Mikal trade, and I think some are too strict because of the Luka trade. 3-4 firsts and a good veteran and young piece is what should be ideal for a Giannis caliber player

  15. Dubs – we will give you five picks and butler

Bucks- ok what else you got

Kuminga and any other young guy we have

And to make it match give us turner you don’t need him anymore

  16. MAILBAG THOUGHT:
As much as I would love to Steph and Giannis on the same team, I feel like the league would become even MORE unbalanced between how good the West is versus how good the East is.

When I think of the top 10 to 20 players in the league, the Western Conference has a majority of them which I feel like isn’t good for the NBA in the long run.

However, some of those players will be retiring soon, so maybe the balance will shift naturally as some of these younger players in the east progress in their careers.

  17. Let’s say Giannis did say trade me to the lakers I’m not resigning anywhere else. What would that trade look like?

  18. giannis is headed for a major injury; terrible idea to trade the kitchen sink for him. Warriors should trust their system and just strengthen the team with young talent and size

  19. I really hope Giannis gets traded to the Warriors—imagine how excited everyone would be! Steph hasn’t had much help on his team for the past seven years, and I genuinely believe this trade could be wonderful for everyone involved: the players, the fans, and the organizations. I totally agree with your take that this could be a win-win situation, not just because I respect Steph and like the org, but because it seems like a great move overall for literally everyone involved including the fans.

  20. Totally agree the Dubs have the best shot to get Giannis, cuz they have the most picks to offer other than the teams like Houston Detroit and the Spurs who would be foolish to blow up their young cores
