With JB and Mazzula Celtics are bad team! JB glorified diva who only plays in LA and his hometown!
Nemis was questionable with flu like symptoms should have sat out
'There are going to be PP nites and AS nites and this one was a AS night clearly." Okay, I don't agree as he only shot better but didn't play better, but fair enough, so why didn't you last nite say it was a PP nite clearly? Who both shot and generally played better than Simons? I guess Anfernee the Indispensable is the new Luke Kornet.
If, as Sherrod suggests, Brad would be reluctant to trade for Giannis if it meant losing Lord Anfernee then he would not be competent to hold his position of DOBO. No matter how hard you folks promote Simons it's not going to make him the player you claim. Giannis…ah…no, not if I have part with Lord Anfernee…
Queta isn't playing better because he can't.
The Knicks have been a disaster and the Celtics have had everything break their way and the Ks are one game behind the Cs.
Hugo was pulled after a defensive blunder.
Don't think you were fair to DW. He got a couple of key boards, blocked a shot etc., he just didn't shoot well. I think Sherrod is right that he benefits from the presence of JT, but perhaps more accurately JT and JB. He's better at being number 3 scorer than number 2.
Beware the Blazers. Avdija is likely out, which'll help, but they are still a terrific team. Best record in NBA in the new year. Don't remember exact stat but the Blaz are something like 14-4 since Rob Williams returned in games in which he's played (i.e. not B2Bs). In the same period, when RW and JH played they are something like 6-1. Hard to win yr first game after coast-to-coast, west-to-east travel, but don't expect a blowout.
Disagree with Bobby that JB was great tonite. Again he missed a free throw in clutch time; again he committed crucial TOs in clutch time, once when the back-up center–THE BACK-UP CENTER–took the ball away from him in the paint; again he missed the most important shot he took at the end of the game. He played well, but "great" is hitting yr free-throws when it matters most, not coughing the ball up to journeyman centers in clutch time etc. He didn't stink by any means, but again he made critical mistakes at the end of a game. You wanna truly be "the best two-way player in the league" then you have stop these costly miscues. A little objectivity plz, he was not "great" tonite.
The Celtics wanted him to rest tonite but JB insisted on playing? Who is calling the shots there? Are we gonna have a Lebron/Jeannie situation soon? He was caught on audio yelling at his bench. He was demanding they challenge a call and when it didn't happen he yelled, "What are you all doing?" Chastised, Mazzulla dropped his head like a schoolboy reproached by his teacher.
Which brings me to hammygate. The broadcast team multiple times made the point that JB was playing with a hammy the night before (Nets). I watched every minute of tat game, but I often turn the sound off because Drew Carter wears me down sometimes. So, admittedly, I didn't hear everything that was said, but I don't recall them saying during that game that JB had a hammy. And I didn't see any evidence of this alleged injury against either Nets or Bulls, but if true, he shouldn't have played tonight. He was originally listed as Probable for the Bulls and then downgraded to available and then he played major minutes as usual. The broadcasters said that JB had admitted to them that he was playing in pain the night before. Okay if he does have an injury which hampers his play on Friday then he shouldn't play on Saturday–obviously. If there is no injury why is he lying to them and/or why are they lying to us? If Bobby is telling the truth, and JB is injured and overruled his head coach and played against the latter's wishes, then JB is running the Celtics. If he has no injury, then he a/o the team, or he w/o the approval of the team, is giving the broadcasters talking points to valorize himself. Either way, something is very wrong here, and either way it doesn't cast JB in a very good light.
Jimmy and Bobby are waaaaaaaaay too confident the Patriots are gonna win. 10 hrs before game time, the temp in Denver is 7 degrees and snow is expected. Good news–no wind. If the Pats are gonna win, QB is gonna hafta play better than he has so far in the playoffs. If so, they have a 50/50 chance. If not, Stidham will have to really blow up for us to win.
I feel like Simons needs to be that scoring relief we need. I mean isn’t that why we traded for him?
He has to be better
☘️ ☘️
Bulls center would a great addition to the center
The best fit for the Celtics at center is JT ‘s best friend BAM !!!
He’d be perfect in joes system
Joe has shown he will NEVER start Simmons. He's shown it when white or brown has been out…. Let alone when they are just playing badly. I'm not sure why he has that mindset….at this point I'd be surprised if Simmons stays on the bench if BOTH white and Pritchard are out. It's insane his aversion to playing Simmons prominently….I have an unpopular opinion that I'll keep to myself for now 😂
I'm sick of the White is playing a new role excuse. Every guy on this team is playing a new role this year. He's a 3rd or 4th best player on a good team and that's all.
