Yves makes the most sense. It takes a while for bigs to develop and it sounds like he could be had. Then in a dream world you put a package together for a shooter, Abaji, Walter and a 1st for a shooting upgrade. Could insert Dick but im intrigued by the growth potential😂
I'd legit rather Sabonis over Giannis and I'd still pass on both. That TM3 trade you dropped yesterday is the best imo.
BIG no for antetokounmpo. I do Sabonis and Monk for Quick, Poltl, ochai and a 1st, but thats it. Otherwise Yves Missi would be great. Another 3 point shooter or facilitator would be good as well.
Is rather give up picks for Trey Murphy….
A starting lineup of Shead, IQ, BI, Barnes and Sabonis would be legit. Sabonis can stretch the floor, make incredible screens, provide great offense, and be MUCH cheaper. If he can buy into the defense like BI, he'd be a GREAT pick-up. He solves a lot of issues the Raptoes have.
did people forget that the raptors are completely dependent on the draft (and to a lesser extent trades) to build its roster? free agency has always been difficult due to toronto not being a popular destination amongst free agents. there is no other team in the nba more at mercy of this model than the raptors… yet, people want to give up 6 draft picks and a future DPOY (CMB) over the next 5+ years and go all in on a single player. if they trade for giannis and it doesn't work out due to injuries or a falling out, the raptors will be a joke until 2035. let that sink in… the raptors are not structured to come back from a situation like that… they aren't the lakers — a team that is given favours by the nba time and time again. the asking price for giannis is madness.
Raps should go all-in on this season and get 2 of the 3 players in Jrue Holiday, Sabonis and Giannis while keeping Scottie and BI.
IQ ➡️ Holiday
RJ, Poeltl, 1 FRP ➡️ Sabonis
OR
RJ, Agbaji, Walter, Mogbo, Temple ➡️ Sabonis
IQ, Poeltl, CMB, 5 FRPs ➡️ Giannis
————————————————————-
Holiday (Lowry 2.0, NBA champion)
Ingram (#1 scorer on team)
Scottie (DPOY candidate)
CMB (future DPOY candidate)
Sabonis (Marc Gasol 2.0)
OR
Shead (Lowry lite)
Ingram (#1 scorer on team)
Scottie (DPOY candidate)
Giannis (DPOY, NBA champion)
Sabonis (Marc Gasol 2.0)
GA to expensive
Sabo injury prone
Messi is the safest bet with potential to grow with the team.😊
Go all in on Yannis
it's honestly getting out of hand people. /rolls eyes
I like sabonis, but I don’t want to give up multiple draft picks (only one first at most, maybe 1-2 seconds) I know the raptors would want Keon Ellis to, he fits our core really well. Jamaal shead and Keon Ellis will be best friends. I would prefer we go for Yves missi as the centre option. He can hold it down until yak is back. Then I would go get Keon Ellis. For Ochai and 3 seconds maybe
Let Miami have Giannis and gut their team
Yves is likely the best option.
Sabonis would be interesting if Sacramento wasn’t trying to fix all their mistakes with that 1 trade. The proposal shown here seems rather expensive.
NOTHING WILL HAPPEN
Giannis is going to cost way too much. It reminds me of when the Nets tried to build around Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett.. They gave up so much in that trade that they had no real talent left to actually compete. A Giannis trade might involve RJ, Quickley, CMB and all the raptors first round draft picks for the next 5 or 6 years. If that trade flops how are you going to rebuild with no first round picks for 5 or 6 years ? You’re essentially the old Pistons and even they had their picks. This can damn near kill the momentum of basketball in the country because people likely won’t stick around especially if the Jays are doing good. Teams like OKC, and The spurs that have lot’s of young talent can go for that trade but not the Raptors. That’s way too risky. I don’t think some people truly understand the cost and the possible effects of this trade if it flops. That kind of trade can destroy the Raptors. Some people are more caught up in trying to win the chase of Giannis without looking at the serious impact if that trade flops.
Gianni’s or nothing
I'd do Agbaji and a first round pick for either Sharpe or Missi. And I think that's what it would cost for either of them. Agbaji and multiple second rounders wouldn't cut it.
If Bobby trades for sabonis he better be fired this off season that would be the worst fit imaginable I however have strongly warmed up to the idea of a point Scottie center giannis lineup if the boat load of picks and CMB is enough incentive for them to take the quickley contract if we can also pry away AJ Green or get more spacing else where and they can stay healthy for a 3-4 year stretch this has the chance to be the most dominant PG big combo since at least LeBron and ad
Raps should call the Bucks BUT not for Giannis – for Bobby Portis instead. Affordable, tough, 45% 3pt shooter can score in the post. 2 separate trades – one for Portis and one for Missi, won’t have to give up the core or depth that has got them into top 4 and won’t have to give up 1st rounders to get either trade done. Fixes the Centre and 3pt issues.
Yves Missi is by far the best value target. Worth a !st rd to keep our core together. Lots of room to grow and Darko has been great giving guys clear roles and they flourish!
