I’ve noticed a fun little factoid to come out of the game from listening to media surrounding the game afterwards: Cooper flag broke the record for most points for a rookie for the mavericks, the previous co-owner of the record Mark Aguirre was in the arena, due to having his jersey retired. Cooper naturally also got the most points of any rookie in history, the previous owner of the record Tre Mann, who we all now was in the arena and sitting in our bench to watch his record get broken. Finally the Kon man hit the most 3 pointers of any hornets rookie in history, the previous co-owner PJ Washington was also in the arena because he was playing for the mavericks that night haha. Just a fun little observation I had! GO PORNETS!!

Was anybody else super confused why Brandon Miller was on the bench for pretty much the entire 3rd quarter and half of the 4th, and then check the box score only to realize he somehow picked up 5 fouls? Istg some phantom ass calls I don’t even remember him picking these up😭
The Hornets won. Both Dukies did themselves proud. Was an exciting game.
In order to win ROTY Kon will need to average 3 or more points per game. That's gonna be hard bc Flagg shots twice as many shots per game. Kon takes 9 FGAs per game and Flagg takes 20 FGAs per game

Any other Hornets fans that have checked out other comment sections of the game see a bunch of people saying that C. Flagg "did not foul Kon" at the end? What were they looking at? That is a foul at every level of basketball. He made contact and pushed him in the back on a layup attempt.
Cooper Flagg is going to be a top 5 player in the league soon. Possibly one day; have the title of best player in the league. That said, "people in the national media missed the fact at 19 Cooper didn't play the night before – Kon did, Kon as Dougg pointed out – got his in the flow of the offense. To me; Kon had the more impressive "winning plays" game! **Could be my Hornets fan bias**.
I give Kon more credit because he played the night before and "Still Went Off" to make it clear – within the flow of the offense!
Charles Barkley says that the Hornets are Playoff-Bound.
Cooper is the rookie of the year, just the better player. But I love Kon, he is special.
