The Toronto Raptors have issues – another fourth quarter collapse… | Post Game Live

The Toronto Raptors are looking to recover after a New York beatdown on Wednesday against the slumping Orlando Magic who will be relatively healthy (minus Franz Wagner) on Friday night. A showdown between Paolo and Scottie, not to mention Jalen Suggs and Scottie Barnes. Let’s see if there’s ANY debate on these head to heads after tonight. Toronto has a FINAL chance to match their 30-win total from last year tonight BEFORE January ends. That’s honestly pretty cool.

  1. Id love to hear Bobby's thoughts on each player on this roster. Mainly to know what he envision's in Quickley.

  2. 1:33:54 my brother.. he is in it. Everyday I wonder to myself wtf was going in Bobby’s head when handing out those contracts, and now he’s talking about sabonis.. we’re done for. Sam presti would never

  3. One of the biggest holes in the offense is that Scotty can't shoot or really self generate, and it's also not Rjs fault soccty can't score 20 points.we definitely were not rolling on offense..when RJ was out, as a matter of fact our offense sucks as a team, but a bit better for Scotty because he had to take more ineffective shots which in return did not help the team win more game than When RJ was fit, it was a bit better for Scotty buckets wise tho. It seems your only seeing most of the games in soccties view.. I remember the game Ingram had a better +- it didn't matter much, anyways we didn't stop anything or anyone in the 4.. and Brandon definitely had a better game without him maybe we dont even get 100 points we don't have anyone that can generate buckets one on one RJ dint have it tonight.. still not 💯, in the 4th when it came down to it Pallo showed up and socctie dint, he might be the team's 3th or 4th soccer..but I expect more from him on the defensive end not just stats.. Darko also misread the flow of the game.

  4. I'm not exactly worried, the roster just needs a big like we've been saying all season long, then players will have the appropriate roles especially on defense (jf they get the right big).

I'd wait until the trade deadline before having genuine concerns (to see if the team makes the right trade to right the ship so to speak). They're still the 4th seed and on pace for 48 wins, I understand the concerns and the need for talent injection (by tanking for the play-in and getting a higher pick) but this has been a good season all things considered.

This was always going to be a flawed team (at least at first), you don't go from the bottom to instant contenders. I think they're trying to repeat what they did with the DeMar-Kyle era. I do think they have to get a big at all costs, at worst if you can't get a Day'Ron or Goga, get Bagley for the dirt cheap even if he doesn't help that much defensively at the rim, you have good helpside defense from Scottie and CMB.

It could be the difference between getting swept by a lower seed and at least losing in 7 or perhaps winning a round especially with a healthy Jak as well.

  5. If Webster doesn't make a trade for some size at least then your wasting your season odds are we going to see Philly 1st rd which is not good

  6. If I’m Bobby these last two games are probably pretty weighty in how I’m assessing my team and in trade considerations.

I definitely went from being tempted with a stand pat attitude and wanting moves, but if the interest isn’t there on the other side it isn’t there .. Raptors have put themselves in a challenging spot.

Also gonna say as much as I shouted at the screen when CMB made that boneheaded play I think for just a rookie thinking “swing swing swing”.. he’ll learn to play his own game within the game in time

  7. I don't want to put any pressure on Bobby Webster, but most great rosters are built from great basketball minds. The i'm smart in other areas so I must be able to figure out basketball types generally lead to dysfunctional rosters. Jerry West turned down a Klay Thompson for Kevin Love trade, when Kevin Love was at the height of his abilities. That was a great basketball mind properly evaluating an asset based on his teams needs. Up to this moment, I don't believe that Bobby Webster has shown this ability. The Quickley contract is arrogance. The OG trade was arrogance. Jakob deal was arrogance. The Ingram trade and signing him was arrogance. This isn't' clear thinking. This isn't pure thinking.

Spent the summer saying Quickley isn't a processing talent. This wasn't hard to figure out. I gave him the benefit of doubt, maybe he can grow into this. I'm out on Quickley. We got duped by the Knicks. Traded for a 6'2 KCP

  8. The end of last season I said 1) we needed another good draft before win now mode 2) should trade gradey and our pick to move up for Kon. Early in the season I said on one of your lives we have to pick a firm roster construction strategy.

All this forecasted and I don’t have as much time to watch basketball as the HO.

The answer is simple – Bobby needs to GO!
