Tales of two Teams… Detroit Pistons vs Suns/Warriors Review
The Detroit Pistons really looked like two completely different teams on back-to-back nights.
Thursday vs the Phoenix Suns:
Low energy, slow rotations, and no real identity on either end of the floor. Offense was stagnant, defense was late, and the fight just wasn’t there. It looked like a team going through the motions.
Friday vs the Golden State Warriors:
Totally different story. The ball moved, the defense competed, and the intensity was there from the jump. They played with purpose, attacked mismatches, and actually looked connected as a unit.
That’s the frustrating part about this Pistons team — we know what they can be, because they showed it the very next night. The problem is consistency. Until they bring that Warriors-level effort every game, they’re going to keep looking like two different teams depending on the night.

Bro you not lying against the Phoenix Suns they were horrible like how can the whole team be off normally it will be just a couple players off but the whole team that's crazy I'm from Detroit I live here in Phoenix I did go to the game and I bought a good seat I sat like 7 rolls behind the Pistons and to see that performance it was worse for me lol I'm glad they bounced back with a W
At the deadline Pistons need a sharpshooter
Like I said before Detroit is a good playoff team can they make the championship that's to be determined but Detroit gotta stop playing stagnant at times and letting teams back in it I've seen us have 20 point leads and they blow them playing stagnant like that!
We need another legit scorer next to Cade.
Tobias gotta get traded. He’s too soft
Great segment, I agree, it's very frustrating. Especially when it comes from so called pistons insiders that help push some of the nonsense surrounding team. And to me, the nonsense influences some of the younger fans that's never seen the pistons play winning basketball until recently. The league is definitely going away from the big 2 and big 3 type of teams, which is great. If you're an insider like some claim, you're supposed to know this. Anyway great bounce back win.
All I'm saying is a lot of fans want a big move, but you trade all your depth and defense for it, then you create a whole new issue for the team
Pistons tried they best to give the golden state game away 😂
🇺🇸🚨🇺🇸🚨🇺🇸.1. Ausar needs to stop thinking he Jordan. 2. Robinson can't be a playmaker. 3. Jb rotation is a mess sometimes especially the fourth quarter. 4. We need to play other guys. Sasser klintman Reid. 5. We need boogie.. i can go on . 6. Lets perfect what works for us.
Wake up bro 😂
tobias has regressed so much defensively. He can't even catch up with Santos, like who tf is that? I know he's a good role player, but man he looks like wat Ausar should have been offensively. And idk why Duncan was there for so long in the 2nd half
We gotta make a trade. We need shooting, we need offense. I love our defense focused team and we should hold on to that but it’s clear we need more. The warriors aren’t the suns, we were supposed to beat the warriors. The east won’t be as wide open as it is right now next year. This is the time to do something.
I think the Pistons are just one good player away
Can you say Malik Beasley??? Would definitely come cheap and add some needed scoring/shooting
This team is not making the finals without a 2nd scorer
If you trade for a 2nd scorer Cade won’t be getting blitzed as much
Great bounce-back game for us. The Suns game made my stomach hurt. Last night, the Pistons manhandled the Warriors. They had to survive a late comeback that I'm sure their team felt that if Curry was in there they would have won. Not against this particular team. We are too young, too athletic, too much energy and Cade is healthy. If Ausar Thompson can make this game his norm, we'll have a championship in 2 years for sure. Which is why, again I say, let'em play!! We are slowly coming together, melting our talents. I always felt that We should have won in 1988, 89, 90, and 91 without injuries. We should have won in 2004, 2005, and 2006. I want championships!!! I don't want a championship in the midst of 4 near championships!!! This team is special. This team is great. We don't need anyone else. Let this team be great and stop talking about trades this year.
You a 💯 percent on Duren I been saying this all along for ever he plays lazy on D and gets lazy fouls so glad you called it out I love your realness on your takes
Ivey is not doing well with that leg. He doesn’t explode off of it, when he picks speed he has trouble slowing himself down, and if he falls he looks like he struggles to get up. His minutes need to remain restricted and his usage needs to be limited to catch and shoot.
Duren had an epic moment earlier in the season where he yelled at Ausar for failing to rotate. It appeared to be a turning point for Duren. Well watching his diminished effort on defense makes me think it’s the same ole soft defense Duren. We need way more out of him. Way more!!
Ausar is an elite defender who sometimes defends like an undisciplined low IQ defender. PLEASE stop reaching and making dumb fouls. Move your feet. Get your chest into the offensive player. Make the offensive player make mistakes by crowding him and contest. Also, I love how his level goes way up when we play Houston. Let’s bottle that and unleash it against the other teams.
I’m tired of the late games 😂 after the Michigan game I couldn’t hang lol
Man you hit the nail in the coffin with that trade talk
You on point with duren I'm glad I'm not trajan Langdon cuz that contract he going to be looking for this off-season 😬 his defense and not having a better offensive game outside of the paint will be hard for me to give him that deal in the 30 to 40 million range
Go get a shooter like Michael Porter Jr.
Do you think it's possible they might not trade for a shooter because of the possibility of signing Malik Beasley later in the season? I'm not saying it's the right thing just saying do you think that it goes thru trajans mind when thinking about making a move? Idk if all his stuff is cleared up yet.
Depending on what Nets are trying to do… MPJ for LaVert, Ivey, Jones, Klintman, and a 1st round pick. Convert Jenkins and Smith. Use trade exemption for Klay Thompson.
Cade, Robinson, Asur, MPJ, and Duren.
Jenkins, Klay, Ron, Harris, Stewart.
Sasser, Green, Lanier, Reed, and Smith
Clears Ivey contract situation, money for Duren, MPJ and Klay off books in 1.5 yrs, money to extend Asur and Holland, etc.
A dream. But a good ass dream.
