Hunter is having a bad season so far Kings.
Sam Amick reported the Kings were wanting a 1st round pick for Keon but suitors started dropping. The Pacers were interested but didn’t see playing time for Ellis if Manthurin was still on the roster, so they backed off thinking it was too risky. And Minnesota was willing to give two 2nd round picks but backed off when Giannis became available, so started focusing on that.
So I think Scott Perry pulled the trigger when interest was fading.
Kings always hire low IQ GMs bro. lol He literally hire Schroder to fumble Keon. LIke I said, nothing has changed in the org whether they get a new GM or HC.
Kings simply got better with Dennis gone. And Keon good player for Cavs but Hunter adds size to the team.
YES!!! Got rid of the run killer Dennis. Sux to lose Keon but we had to sweeten the deal. We just got tougher at the point. Young guys r gonna get some run. I love this trade. We got 5 days til we see the new look kings. We r in last place but I got a feeling we may win 5-12 games in a row bc we r getting healthy. Next is at the 2 n if we actually keep Sabonis. Getting Dougie a team he can work with. I love Scotty Perry. He’s a genius for real. Can we sneak into the play in?

Dennis was signed to a movable contract, Hunter is movable contract too. I assume there is more to come, now or over the summer. Saric was always a salary filler. The second will be in the high 20s.

Everyone saying Hunter is having a down year: so is Keon. Hunter's numbers are still better across the board for one reason: size. Keon was my favorite player on this team because I love a scrappy underdog, but he's severely limited by his size. All I can say is: Thank God I never have to hear the words 'logjam at the guard position' again this season.
I'm very happy Keon Ellis got traded… he was overvalued (as what many Kings fans do with the fringe players that come to Sacramento), moved away from Dennis Schröder and got wing talent in return in De'Andre Hunter, someone who can spell Keegan Murray (when healthy), free up roster spots as well and a logjam in the backcourt
Hunter broke Giddy's ankle earlier this year and put Giddy on the IL watch the video.

After that they went 44-38 then they also had schroder (lol) then traded him now they are the best team in the east. hmmmmm coincidence?

The Bulls win again. If Doug Christie played Keon Ellis more I do believe we would have gotten a 1st round (why teams opted out). The Dario Saric/Dennis situation.. should have just kept Big Val and let him walk cause we end up paying Chicago to undo that mistake. Hunter cost 10 million more than Schroder and I don't understand how he fits the timeline.

The first big problem with the Kings is that they have no leader. Russ is the newest guy so he doesn't want to step on the other veterans toes plus with his shameful contract money why would he take that responsibility. As for DeRosen, Sabonis and LaVine none of them have leadership qualities and everyone of them thinks he is better than the other two so there is no coordination and team first mentality in the way each one of them play. Some games you find that DeRosen had seven shots attempts in almost thirty minutes, another game it is LaVine's turn to have just seven attempts. This is why they don't put any effort on defense because they just don't care for the result because everyone of them wants to be traded. As for the coach he should be fired even if he is as good as Phil Jakson.because he lost the respect of his team and nobody cares about what he says and he admitted that he calls a play and the players will do another thing. Also all management should be fired. They need the biggest vacuum cleaner to sweep everyone out and start from ZERO.
