If the Celtics know that they can bring Simons back next year on a reasonable contract you do it ,he is definitely not worth 27 million . If they know they can't bring him back you pull the trigger and trade him ,they are making the playoffs with or without him .
the best trade package if we want more depth more talent in the front court and a addition to the wing position while getting off of 1 year contracts is to trade with the bucks. who’s looking for picks and to tank with respectable players who are on contracts and looking for a contending team i’d offer Antfernee Simons Chris Boucher 2 2026 2nd round picks (being that we have 3)for Gary Trent Jr & Myles Turner. Respect to Antferee Simons i love his game and wish we got him at much better timing rather than getting him on a one year deal!!!
This team isn't winning a Championship with or without Tatum so upgrading at Center would cost more than it produces. Counterproductive.
