For years, the NBA convinced itself Nikola Jokić had a ceiling.

There's one thing that most of commentators tend to overlook. In former Yugoslavia, when kids start playing basketball, they are forced to play every position, No exception. Only when they start their professional careers, they can specialize. Jokić did it, Luka Dončić did it, Bogdan Bogdanović, Jusuf Nurkić, Toni Kukoč, Vlade Divac, Peđa Stojaković… all of them.
He already edges Dream as the most skilled C I've seen personally. Amazing player.

Correction: Russell Westbrook has averaged a triple double in several seasons, not just one. But he's always been extremely inefficient.
I don’t think people truly understand just how unfathomable Jokić is. He is almost undoubtedly top 5 all time in:
-IQ
-Playmaking
-Passing
-Post shooting
-Mid Range Shooting
-Rebounding
-Hands (this is a weird skill to list, but when you watch Jokić you get it)
And when you go through all of them, he’s closer to number 1 on most than he is to 5.

The fact they robbed him of his rightful league MVP during his championship season to give Embiid a pity MVP is a disgrace. The fact that he had an all time great season last year and was robbed so they could give it to a flop artist is criminal.
Hot take…jokic is like tom brady…nobody believe in their body but they had something nobody had….an incredible iq…an incredible drive for make the right play every single time. They proved everybody athleticism can be exploited. I just hope jokic can win 1/2 more rings…in my book he can go down as a top 7/8 player all time. I'm so glad to watch him play
