    Like Schroeder since CPJ isnt an offensive guy and Garland has missed so much time and this team always works better with a PG that can pass. He is also a guy that isnt afraid to get someones face.

    Ellis as a disruptive perimeter defender is great. He can play the 2 or 3, which helps since Wade isn basically just running the 4 and if everyone is healthy the cavs have tons of SGs.
    Didnt know about the bird rights till now but that is huge plus.

    If the Cavs are deciding to hold on to these two then it just means they need more control and steady offense from Schroeder and actual transitional and perimeter defense from Ellis.

    Having Garland in and out of the lineup with injuries and Strus still not ready to return, the organization made a conscious decision to find more guards. Only thing is we're down a large wing again. Unless they decide to convert Nae'qwan Tomlin's contract.

    I like the trade. I think Keon Ellis is going to make a noticeable impaxt immediately on defense.

    I also think Schroder will be good for us this year. In addition to your points about his skillset, i think cavs will benefit from having another asshole on their team, something that's been lacking with strus out. Cavs are filled with nice or quiet guys, it cant be just Mitchell or Tyson trying to light fires in the team mentally every night.
