  1. After the Luka trade you can’t put it past other GM’s that Dallas, from top to bottom, are just a bunch of rubes that can easily be manipulated.
Thats why dumping a bunch of guys for one large expiring contract seems like the only deal worth making.
Hold on to AD until the summer to get a few more teams in the mix for his services and slowly work towards trading older players for younger, unproven 20 something guys.
You eventually end up with Flagg, The 2026 pick and hopefully one or two more picks, Christie, Lively, Cisse and Nemby. That’s where we are headed.
Quicker we get there the better.
Getting back our picks should be the goal but perhaps that’s off the table and we should just go get guys like Risacher and Holland and take our beating for the next four years.
Thats what happens when you hire a shoe salesman to run your billion dollar business.
If nothing else they will hustle and be fun to watch.

  2. I don’t think we see anything happen trade wise. I think we waive a player or two

  3. The way things have gone for the MAVs actually have been a BLESSING. I have been saying this for quite sometime THE MAVS ARE A GOOD TEAM. The Blessing is that with AD and Kyrie not playing has provide the opportunity for Max, Coop, Nahji and BWill to grow. We'll make the Playoffs and we'll have a very CONFIDENT TEAM that will be able to threaten for a Championship THIS YEAR. Our guys just need to keep holding the forth and keep the playin within reach. WE"RE GOOD!!!!!!! This Team is a Contender as constructed – I would be against "Blowing Up for Coop" because we can win now – and He would be a piece for what we're able to accomplish with this roster.

  4. Nothing going to happen, waiting on Irving & AD to come back and hopefully make a late season run. Problem we need AD & Irving to play min of 20 games together and get us out of the play in and hopefully #8 or #9. Which is pie in the sky wish IMO. My biggrst fear they come back and we play 60 to 70% winning % problem is we are so in the hole that might not be enough to get us in the playoffs. Then we run the risks of other injuries to Irving AD and hopefully not Flagg. Better opition dont rush Irving or AD back make a trade for a draft pick if possible. Get Flagg another young solid player to build around Flagg, Maxie, Ryan, PJ, Marshall, Gafford & Cissi. Thats 7 dependable players. Cut older non dependable high salary players.

  5. I don't think there's nearly enough interest in AD to drum up interest in a trade. Isaac is continuing to speak as if the Mavs will get salary relief and a 1st round pick or young talent. How sure are we the league isn't treating him like a negative contract albatross?

  6. AD will be starting for the Mavs next season

    Open 2026 starters:
    Irving
    Davis
    Flagg
    Lively
    Christy

    Lock it in

  7. Ithink AD comes back for 2 games with Kyrie, gets hurt again where he needs surgery anyways and can't work out in the summer to keep in shape.i hope I'm wrong but the curse is real…

  8. I for one love people saying he wouldn't be 1. Coop is gonna fry these guys, he has shown he gets up to play for guys he knows.

  9. The Mavs has had two central figures with diametrically opposite dispositions regarding roster building.

One is too bold and self-conceited, moving players left and right every trade deadline and off-season, reaching the ultimate hubris thinking that he plays 4D chess by trading a generational player at his peak for a past-his-prime injury-prone player in order to reach that fantastical 2-3 year championship window (Nico).

The other is clueless Casino-first, basketball-part timer he thinks he knows basketball, getting every basketball history and reference wrong during interviews, bad-mouthing the would-have-been best Mavs player of all time while keeping quiet and not apologizing about the most disastrous trade in sports history soon after, playing safe, allowing his GM to clean house according to that GM's personal whims and extend players to expensive contracts THEN firing that GM and regretting the cap situation after the fact, delaying hiring of a new GM for months even an interim one, opting to wait for things to turn around on their own, hoping to see everybody get healthy and return to their old selves (as if injury, rust, and age do not factor in) before making decisions on trades and long term roster outlook (Dumont)

  10. Exactly one year ago today we were all here panicking and crying and stressing and protesting and questioning everthing

  11. If AD is still on this team after the deadline, this team is gonna be mediocre for the next dozen years and ruin Cooper Flagg's career. This is by far the worst ownership and management in the NBA. A total lack of any understanding of what they have needed to do since the end of last season.

  12. We should just aim to improve our chances in the draft as much as possible and get a good running mate for Flagg.
Seriously, this year's draft is so stacked that just getting a fourth pick can be franchise-altering now that we have Flagg

  13. My push back with Issac is why is he so hell bent on just getting rid of Anthony Davis for a shit deal rather than a decent deal
