  1. A trade or trades has to happen by Thursday's deadline. Everyone is basically on same page that obviously this team is more than one trade/ move away from competing for championship. So it's gonna take time to address that potentially multipe cycles. Doing nothing at deadline than saying oh we got 3 picks and all this cap space come summer and blah blah blah just puts a ton of pressure this summer and still most likely it doesn't all get addressed.

Rn above everything this team needs better depth/ better role players. Im sorry I like Jake, Smart and some of the others but man to almost nightly get not much out of Gabe, Vando, Jake, Smart, etc then have guys like DK and Kleber on bench that are basically unplayable it's crazy. Hell bring in like 1 or 2 competent young guys to help our bench depth that can defend and bring positive mins and that'd go a long way and something as little as that can drastically improve this group. Okoro from Chicago, Champagnie from Washington, like just to name a few that are guys that'd be instantly better than our whole bench rn. Imagine swapping Gabe, DK, Kleber 2nd or some combo of that and turning it into 2 young good defensive minded bench guys that also are decent on offense. Now your talking about a bench of say those 2 new young guys plus Rui , Jake, Vando/ Hayes. That'd go a long way

  2. the Lakers issues are very clear:
1/ Useless bench, which has been the case for the past 3 years because we have the worst GM in the league..
2/ How incompetent Luka on the defensive end, and how every team keeps attacking him..
3/ How bad JJ is at making defensive plans since he literally has the worst defender in the league ( Luka )..
Until you stop blaming Lebron for everything, and actually focus on what is really wrong with the team, the Lakers are doomed..

  3. This Lakers team is just bad. They are wildly inconsistent. Jake LaRavia and Marcus Smart are consistent at being inconsistent.

  4. The ting is we not gonna improve our starting line up, get a 2/3 star, bench and reserves in one summer. I genuinly think u juild a championship squad, u cant sit on ur hands and expect any sort of improvement, cuz the moment ar gets paid we are cooked, cuz then we are so much more constricted by our previously mismanaged cap. Getting 2 3&D wings and a few free agents wil go a long way then keep improving every trade cycle. Just fill this team up with 3&D wings and bigs around our big 3 and we are good and competitive every year. Us getting jake instead of naw was such bad move

  5. JJ forgot about involving Ayton, Jaxon Hayes and Rui in the second half. Ayton had 9 in the first quarter!

  6. Great to see Matt back after so long – just sucks that Trevor only seems to have him on after losses šŸ˜‘

  7. The Lakers seriously let Laundry Shame-it score 23 pts? Wow. Also, Smart, LaRavia and Vando were absolutely HORRIBLE.

  8. Rob Pelinka ain't doing sht. Obviously i still wanna believe that Lakers can compete in this season for championship BUT i don't think they making it in the first round

Trades need to happen or else, this season is really over. Time to move on for next season, this roster sucks, the bench are the worst

  9. Dudes, Ayton with all his ups and downs is a better player and a healthier player than Mark Williams. Look at Williams game to game stats and they are also up and down. The guy also disappears.

  10. Be glad when AR comes back. Besides Luka & LeBron(not always), there is no one that can score on a consistent basis. It should be Rui, but that guy is… oh brother!

  11. The defense isn't the problem.
This team absolutely cannot hit an open catch-and-shoot three. 28% won't cut it, and most of those were wide open.

  12. The Los Angeles brick layers union is not a real NBA team. They can win some games here and there cuz they have a few.very good players, but they're just not real NBA level. Once again, the defense is not the problem, its how many guys they have that can't play offense at bare minimum league level. They've got alot of losses coming their way here soon.

  13. The problem is consistency from role players they’ll look great one night and go back to getting nothing out of em for another 2 nights. It doesn’t help having multiple guys who aren’t playable too.

  14. Look I’m be honest I’m a Bron fan so I don’t pay much attention to what the Lakers was doing before he got there , but since he has came what have Rob actually done ? It seems like Magic got Bron to come , Bron got AD to come , Kawhi deal didn’t happen so it forced Rob to make a bunch of plan B deal which in credit to him it worked … but since then he has yet to repeat it when it was clearly a formula to winning , so was those deals by design or accident? I kno Trev gives Rob credit for the Luka deal but by the looks of it They Only wanted AD so that deal was a Gift for God to be honest… all I have seen Rob do is lose players they need and kick the can down the Road …
But I will give him a lil credit for Smart Jake and DA I guess šŸ¤·šŸ¾ā€ā™‚ļøbut …

  15. Sorry, we got what we got, a physically and mentally weak team, and there is no help coming at the trade deadline! No team is dealing with Lakers unless they can fleece them! šŸ’Æ

  16. This Lakers team is Medicare. Won’t get championship with this group of players. Lakers need to make some Trade

  17. Our Lakers have serious problems that won't improve with just one or two trades. Everyone is waiting for one player to return. AR is not gonna change anything. They couldn't wait for Rui to return and since his return he's not doing shit either. It takes the entire team to win…our bench is pathetic.

  18. When your top 3 players don’t play one side of the ball (defense), and your role players aren’t Alex Caruso type hustle and D players, your bigs have no defensive presence and don’t dominate the boards, AND you don’t have any snipers on the team, it is delusional to think you could ever win a championship.

  19. Hot take: Jaxson Hayes is a better fit, is more athletic, has a higher motor, and is a better player than Deandre Ayton.

  20. Lakers wants to know how long would Lebron wants to play but Lebron doesn’t know too that’s why everything’s up in the air

  21. I’m sorry news flash for everyone hoping for a magical trade it’s not going to happen the new owners don’t care about this season and they want to start from scratch next season so if a trade does happen it will be to get picks and give away players for more assets not to improve the roster for this season

  22. I think this lineup needs to be tried out: Luka, Smart, Rui, Bron, Ayton. I’d say Jaxson Hayes, but I don’t want to lose DA mentally for the season. Jake isn’t this defensive stopper that moves the needle, and Rui performs better starting and shoots better.

  23. Thank you, Matthew for pushing back on Trevor’s delusional optimism on why 9-11 against teams over .500 is bad

  24. Shot selection is also hurting the lakers I watched da open so many times for ex smart drove from the right corner into the middle da was right there for a open free throw line shot & what does he do?…he shoots a contested hook I was like wtf pass Ayton the ball can’t hit open shots rebounding etc etc

  25. I said it before and ima say it again rob pelinka is the main problem with this team mismanaging assets poor roster construction not hitting on picks
