SPURS POSTCAST: Spurs, Wembanyama Brave Storms Then Blast Magic | Dylan Harper STAYS HOT!

Casey Viera and NBA champion Devin Brown break down the San Antonio Spurs’ 112-103 victory over the Orlando Magic after 24 hours of travel dramatically altered by the winter weather ravaging the Carolinas.

Victor Wembanyama finished with 25 points, eight rebounds, four steals and five blocks for San Antonio (33-16) who arrived in the Alamo City a little over four hours prior to the twice-adjusted 8 p.m. tipoff time following an unsuccessful flight out of Charlotte and subsequent rerouting to Atlanta.

De’Aaron Fox added 14 points and 10 assists while rookie Dylan Harper scored 15.

The Spurs return to action Wednesday to host Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder in their fifth and final matchup of the regular season.

  1. The Spurs vs the Magic: what a wonderful 2 pts shooting team, moving like ballet dancers and handling the ball like talented circus jugglers; and what a terrible 3 pts shooting team, 21 bricks at 28 percent last night, brick after brick after brick like overexcited desert coyotes that would do a better job at jacking up 3s. In short, a good win with great plays and often solid defense, but careful here because the Magic are not a good rebounding team contrary to the Hornets and Spurs still love collecting bricks as if they were after a brick world record…

  2. Vic is treated like just one of the guys…the ball needs to go through him in the halfcort…especially needs more shots at the rim

  3. D Harper, should be starting as a backup point gaurd to D. FOX!!!
You use StephonCastle like a Bruce Bowen, only a way better offensive player!!! Lethal big time!!!

  4. I need to give where the credit is due. Mitch's rotation was a lot better than one against Charlotte. I hope he continues to utilize Harper (tonight he had no choice) as he is already the 2nd best if not the best facilitator on this team. (Not saying he is better than Castle at this moment; it's just Castle is a combo guard not pure PG). This game also showed that Harper can be as good as Flagg or Knueppl if Harper is given as mins as them. Loved Bryant getting a lot more mins than previous ones. In fact, I vouch that Bryant gets more mins than Barnes. Barnes 28 mins seem to be still to much IMO. He could be resorted to low 20s or high 10s while Bryant getting that much. One possession, he guarded Black so tight from full court causing him TO. Love seeing that from young kid. 3pt shooting continues to be bad but another concern is FTs. What's been going on with team's FT shooting recently? This could been much easy game had we hit FTs and we could have actually won against NO if we did not miss 13 FTs (as we lost by 9). As a team, these guys need to get together and practice FTs. 2013 NBA finals still haunts me as we actually could have won it all had we not missed those key FTs (Manu, Kawhi).

  5. And when you are a Spurs fan from France it went from a watchable live game at 10 pm to 1 am then 3 am non watchable games … Replay on the NBA app in the morning it's not the same 🙂

  6. i hope im wrong but i had the feeling wemby wasn't healthy. he seemed to be grimacing on the bench.
