This TRADE Report Changes Everything…

The Detroit Pistons just made history.

Detroit crushes the Brooklyn Nets 130–77, setting a new franchise record with a 53-point win — and then the news kept coming.

In today’s Pistons Jack Daily, we break down:
• The historic blowout win
• Jalen Duren being named an All-Star
• Dennis Jenkins turning down a two-year minimum deal (per Marc Stein)
• And reports that Detroit is considering trades for Michael Porter Jr. and Miles Bridges

Should the Pistons make a move at the deadline after a win like this?

  1. No Miles Bridges. I dont think they should make any trade. Not even a small trade because I dont want them to waste trade capital for this summer. We need to be patient. Our core is 20-24 years old. They can be a dynasty if they play their cards right. If they do make a move I would much rather have MPJ over Bridges.

  2. The team got down to business. I hope this is the start of another upward rise. They've got the Nuggets with Jokic back, the Wizards, and the Knicks up ahead. I think they can realistically sweep the week – I'm only concerned about the Nuggets – and inch even closer to OKC.

Unless the trade is clearly going to get the team to championship favorite status, I'd rather they develop the young guys on their roster.

    Laban, Pistons!

  3. Its better to not make a trade. period. Maybe if they can get a shooter for a pic. But other than don't touch anything. Leave Tobias alone.

  4. I'd much rather have a better guy than mpj or bridges. I don't want any of that toxicity especially if that means trading tobias. If we trade him it better be for someone really top shelf

  5. We know the team is going to do SOMETHING. They’ve had Caris conveniently “sick” for the last week. At the very least I think they move Caris for a shooter like Klay, or a PF like Portis. Maybe they find something bigger and include Ivey, but I’m pretty confident Caris is gone.

  6. Ivey doesn't make sense for the Nets because they already have Cam Thomas and Thomas and Ivey together wouldn't make sense for them, so if the Pistons want MPJ they are going to have to give the Nets Holland. Personally I don't want MPJ, he's not a great fit because he's going to have to play out of position and he is already a horrible defender so now he's going to be even worse trying to guard the other teams 4's and he's also notorious for shrinking in the playoffs, especially last year.. I would just keep the team as is, or maybe make a small pick up or two to add shooting..

  7. Bobby Portis would be the perfect fit, along with Luke Kennard, which would be a win-win situation for the Pistons.

  8. They probably have "internal discussions" involving multiple players year round. That's part of their job.

  9. I watched Mil vs Bos, Portis isn't the answer either! The Pistons needs someone who can put the ball on the floor and create his own shot or get buckets. In the playoffs, teams will blitz Cunningham and force him to give up.

  10. The Pistons only had a few options for Daniss I think. The Pistons could either convert him which is what they will do or offer a 2 year minimum. They couldn't offer him more.

  11. Its a 2 way street Jenkins and the pistons need each other, people get so fascinated with the money, they forget fit is important

  12. FYI- the NBA trade deadline is THURSDAY Feb. 5, 2026, at 3 p.m. ET (which is actually about a little bit less than 96 HOURS away from the time of this video posting not 48 hours (from video upload).

  13. I predict the Pistons will land MPJ before Thursday's 3pm deadline (2/5/26) at a cost (whether they like it or NOT) of: TOBIAS, CARIS, JENKINS!!!!, and a 1st round pick)

  14. I'm hoping the Pistons simply leaked some interested in Bridges to help with trade negotiations for the players they really want.
