Buy low, sell high. Simons is a good guy but his skills are limited. We need depth in bigs and ball handlers. Anfernee is ineffective bringing the ball up the court under pressure. Passing skills are lacking. Great catch and shoot, but we have more of that.

I’ll put it like this, John Celtics fans want to keep Simons but the only thing interfering is that expiring contract only way he comes back is by taking less, but will be other teams out there in Free Agency will be trying to give him more. And also can’t rely on. Queta and Garza to guard dominant athletic bags. No, they will get exposed.
I love Simons. My guy looks like he rolled out of bed and ripped 4 or 5 tubes when he’s out there scoring 30. Don’t trade him, Brad.
The Celtics have good production at Center so don't need any upgrade. Having a guy like Simons come off the bench red hot in a game where everybody else is cold and shoot them back into the game is rare in the league. Trading him for another big is a mistake. Tatum coming back is the real upgrade or if they can swap Brown for Giannis.
Celtics need to be looking to shop Sam Hauser for a salary dump before the trade deadline to give themselves a better chance to sign Anfernee to a contract extension while still having a little bit of wiggle room to sign maybe one other additional piece in the offseason without going over the second apron.

Simons is not getting traded. If he did get traded, I would move him for Michael Porter Jr. Brooklyn is not making that deal. Simons should still be in Boston the reminder of the season.
Hopefully, we can keep Simons, at least through the end of the season (no matter how it ends). He's been a good fit and maybe we can make it to the ECF…, maybe…

I was an adamant that Simons has to go, but he has won me over with his play and how he fits on this team. I agree that it may be better to keep him and get a good center a different way – Missi or Sharpe if they are available might be worth a bit of a draft overpay just to get a good young center that they seriously need to compete for championships.
Simons came in with bad habits on Defense and not being a team player. He has shown big improvements in both areas. He is a keeper for the Celtics and a big reason for their success this year! 🍀

Watching this Celtics team succeed like this makes me believe that if he’s 105 healthy, Tatum should come back. Cause if he plays the way he do in his rookie season, they can be dangerous. He wasn’t always an iso player.
