  1. But we don’t need to rush for the rebuild right now Matt. Even if we couldn’t trade Domas till 2027. That’s fine

  2. The Kings could still at least get a good young player and a first round draft pick this summer. But they could get more. That’s the point

  3. Poeltl is a vastly worse contract than Sabonis. Poeltl is essentially $27 million in dead money every season. It’s total nonsense to think a 3rd team will take his contract.

  4. Sabonis isn’t the problem, he’s giving you great numbers every game he’s on the floor! So much more wasted money through out this roster! Lavine etc…..

  5. I think I would rather make no deals at all now and wait for the summer, over making bad deals now for the sake of doing something. We have tried the latter many times with the same results.

  6. Nikola Jokić was drafted in the second round by the Denver Nuggets

Don't sleep on second round picks !

  7. Few day ago most or even whole kings media; don’t trade our picks,
Today after Hunter trade; give away frp to get rid of Sabonis.
    🤦‍♂️
That tells me we’re really gonna complete with this team next year. Rebuild is over I guess.

  8. You can be bad and cheap or good and expensive… you cant be bad and expensive.

I need 3 picks, Domas is at least an allstar caliber player despite being bad.

RJ is a bad contract that itself requires 1 1st, Poeltl is a worse contract until 2030 that requires at least 2 1sts, at least Sabonis money comes off the books first so you can truly rebuild with cap space like okc and Brooklyn and taking on bad contracts for picks which toronto clearly doesn't want to give up.

Nothing wrong with letting Sabonis walk similar to how the clippers let Paul George walk and spent that money wiser especially if you have to take on 2 bad contracts

  9. I don't think this deal gets done unless a third team gets involved. The Raptors won't give up 2 firsts and the Kings seem adamant about not wanting Poeltl's contract.

I can understand the wariness around Poeltl's deal but I don't think it's the disaster that a lot of people are making it out to be. Yeah, the injury situation is weird but people are acting like he's medically retiring. Chances are he'll have one or two more healthy and productive seasons after this one.

I've never heard this show before but I agree with pretty much everything the guy in grey is saying. If the Raptors don't get Sabonis, they'll start next year with Poeltl along with one of Goga/Sharpe/Missi. Add in Collin Murray-Boyles – who has been excellent – and our collection of big men is miles better than what we started with this season.

Good luck, Kings fans. You guys are great.
