The NBA trade deadline has started and a chain of events has already launched this deadline into a tier of weird none of us could have expected. The Raptors are allegedly working on a deal for Domantas Sabonis, but better players and younger players are getting scooped up right in front of them.

With this current management – it seems that it's 2 steps ahead – with the Ingraham trade and the Mamukelashvili signing. Then 2 steps back with the Poeltl extension and subsequent damage control trade. Not the way to build a championship team.
I would give Bobby Webster so much credit if he could manange to get Ayo & Jalen Smith, Myles Turner & Ryan Rollins or Nembhard & Jay Huff for a decent price.
So many of our problems would be solved.
Asleep at the wheel? One of our best options is to do nothing lol. Minus a back up C thats perfectly fine outcome for this deadline. I would rather asleep then destroying our future, which is what most the market would do
Your analysis is always so great & almost spot on. The only minor criticism Is that you prioritize defense over offense way too much.
In order to have a balanced team we need players like IQ that can handle the ball, shoot & get into the paint.
The only issue with IQ is that he's probably better suited at SG. If this team could get a PG like Lamelo, it would unlock everyone, including Scottie.
Then all we would need is a Center like Wendell CarterJr & this team would be so well balanced.
Imagine a starting 5 of:
PG: Lamelo
SG: IQ
SF: BI
PF: Barnes
C: Wendell Carter Jr
No disrespect, but James Harden is one of those guys that are absolutely gifted that will win nothing substantial. Same calibre of player like Donovan Mitchell, Lamelo Ball, Karl Anthony Towns. They don't have that grit.

The Brooklyn Nets have all the answers to the Raptors issues. Raptors should trade for MPJ and D Sharpe. Currently, the Raptors are bottom 5 in 3 point shooting. Scottie would finally have a reliable parameter shooter. Keep Jakob until the summer. It will be sad to see Rj go.
I was crying for raps to get in on triple J trade, most didnt think he’d get traded tho and now he on the Jazz. Damnn that was my dream pick up for this deadline ngl
