Double big lineups incoming. Pritchard back to 6th man role. Suddenly there are no backup guards…. Good luck to Simons. Would love to see him back in Boston some day.
Celtics need a big… but i don't know about this. They need rebounding and rim protection not exactly what he provides. But hey it saves the owner some money…😐☘️
Younger than Al. Can prob be just as if not more effective. The 28M TPE they created will be huge next season. Now just trade Boucher for s back up point guard.
1) Taintyum gets hurt. 2) Ceptics front office, meaning new ownership who got a bargain price for this team due to scandal and defects, explores other options including bringing in a "discount Taintyum' to see if using a cheaper option with similar skill will make the offense work. 3)Taintyum begins to wipe the mazzulla jizz from his eye and realizes this is true. 4)Taintyum decides he "doesn't know where he fits in on this team". Contemplates not coming back this season. 5)While successful, the experiment is over and the Ceptic not only trade away Simmons, but trade him for a guy who's skills in no way over lap Taintyums. 6) you people are blind.
I'm going to miss Simons very fun to watch. Vuc is coming off the bench but I wanted the Celtics to get a big younger n more physical against Detroit (Messi from pelican or Sharp from Brooklyn) also they have contracts that will get C's under the cap completely. Detroit gotten even better with the move they made for Huerter. C's move will work out if Tatum comes back this year. Then Vuc can play the Porzingis role.
Stop clutching your pearls, Celtics fans. I am a Chicago-based, lifelong Celtics fan. I have seen Vucevic play–a lot. On a roster whose center corps includes Queta, Boucher, Garza, and Tillman, a guy who can knock down middies and threes while pulling bigs out of the paint to free the lane for JB, White, and Pritchard is exactly what this team needs in the absence of Al and KP. Yeah, he's a statue on defense, but he won't have to play 35 minutes a game. Not to mention that the difference between Simons's and Vucevic's cap hit is $6M, which puts the C's under the apron and frees up space for another trade.
Now we're out of the apron and we can't get someone for like 14 million off waivers. I like Lonzo ball off the bench if he gets waived now that they have Harden on the Cavs
I like Vuc, Queta and Garza as a center rotation. We can take on any lineup now. I would start Vuc and the 1st backup depends on the scenario. Bruiser? Throw out Queta. Stretch big shooting 3s? Throw out Garza. I think people also forget that unless we sign Williams to a standard league contract, he cannot play in the playoffs. If another scenario like what happened against the Nets happen, now we actually have a 3rd go-to center.
Simons was a microwave scorer, he couldn't pass or defend. Still he was a good piece to the team, but I think Vucevic adds more to the table than him, but I think Boston will need to add a guard to the team, even if Tatum does come back

Chicago now have 10 guards on their roster lol
I like Simons but we definitely needed a big. Great deal.
Chicago was fun to watch the last couple years. They just became fun to watch again shame about this trade.
This is not a smart trade.

I don't like this trade at all. Simons has been perfect for Boston. Wtf
I know it's sacrilege to question any trade by Brad but…what?!?
Celtics have probably given up this year. Sad, I don't get it but Brad S.
Hate this trade – old one-dimensional player who doesn't play defense.
Luka Garza gonna be traded. And another guy. Tatum is definitely coming back. That limits Simons minutes.
What a bad trade. You don’t give up Simon’s for a center you don’t even need. Wow no championship this year

We should pick up Mac Mcclung to run the bench.
this is Horford replacement

Brad Stevens is just absolutely brilliant! Go Celtics!

Wish Simons all the best in Chicago 🍀!
Vooch is legit, Joe can make him valuable
