I am not sure if these recent trades are good for the Wizards. First, you may have gotten rid of only a low first round pick in this draft and a protected first round pick in another draft with some second round picks attached, but this draft happens to have a lot of talented players who will fall because of how deep it is. That late first rounder could be important, especially if used with another pick to move up. Giving up draft capital and players with expiring contracts that would open up a lot of cap after this season for AD and Trae Young who are in the part of their careers where they can't stay healthy and on bad contracts is risky.
If you can find teams that are interested in trading for either of those players in the off-season that can give draft capital back in return and more young players to build around, then great deal, but I don't know if teams will be lining up for either of those two players on the contracts that they are on (maybe Trae because he will be on an expiring deal next year).
I just don't have insider information to what the plan is for the Wizards. I have enjoyed seeing them bring in young talent in the draft and put themselves in a great cap situation to build their team like OKC. That kind of went out the door after these trades, unless, again, there are other moves in motion after the season.
Also, don't forget about the other players added to the Wizards taking up cap space, too (Russell, Hardy / Exum will be off the books after the season).

She has no clue what she’s talking about 😂. The Eastern conference is not the West. I know this is a big if, but if AD and Trae Young are healthy and the Wizards get a top 5 pick this year, they can and will make the playoffs in the Eastern conference.
