  1. This is feels like a move committed to the end of Steph with clean 27’ books. The problem is that he is still a top ten player. So do you either 1. Trade your franchise goat to get a very quality return and truly commit to your future? 2. Do you never trade him but also fail to actually jumpstart your rebuild. 3. Force him into a decision which could very well cause an early retirement next year

  2. What can't you believe? Nobody wanted kuminga and if kp does work tbwy still unloaded alot salary..you tell me who and what they could have got for kuminga. They're is a reason he's been on the team all year!!! What stars are available? Zero.. without mortgage they're futureb1stbrd picks witch makes zero sense for anyone available but giannis…

  3. Trev is on his channel crying about this because he wanted to keep that second round pick. Somebody needs to talk some sense into him because Kennard is about to get the best looks he's ever gotten from three which means Rui is gonna be more open and maybe have a little more confidence, and maybe Laravia will get back to his 40% level since he doesn't feel the weight of the world if he misses.

It's not just Luke's scoring that matters, it's the fact that you don't have the entire team missing from three and getting discouraged expecting the next one to miss as well. Sometimes you just need one guy to hit a couple and it starts improving the results for the others.

  4. It's a disgrace what they are doing to steph. He should ask for a trade but I never want to see him leave. It's so f*** up

  5. to be fair to the warriors front office they brought in jimmy just last year and possibly would've made it to the WCF if steph didn't get hurt.

  6. It’s sad as a fan of Steph. However I am grateful for all the winning I’ve been lucky enough to see as a fan. However

I hope another move is made. There’s still like one more hour lol

  7. As a long time Warriors fan, they've NEVER made a splash in trades. They trade for people who are past their prime or whose career needs rehabing: Bought, Butcher, Davis.

Their biggest splash was probably David Lee as dude was a legit All Star in his prime. However, their most impactful player in a trade was Baron Davis.

Hard to say if the front office could have done more to help Curry. I ain't complaining though. After a decades long playoff drought, they somehow assembled the Greatest Team in NBA history with one of the most dynastic runs

  8. I don’t understand why the warriors would give anything up at this point. Stef is 38. Trade him and get something to start a rebuild. Be like Danny ainge with the Celtics. Sell before it gets to the point where you can’t… Their roster is awful.

  9. The Warriors got caught in the trap of ā€œA boat’s a boat, but a mystery box could be anything. It could even be a boat!ā€

  10. The Warriors and the Lakers are making the same mistake as the Bulls in ā€˜98. These suits don’t care enough about the potential of contention if it means it could hurt their bottom line 10 years in the future and EVERY. TIME. it’s looked back upon as a mistake.

  11. makes sense for the dubs since they like guys to just sit on the bench and never play….

  12. When you have to trade two players just to get rid of them (Poole and Kuminga) – you know you fucked up

  13. Warriors did trade for Jimmy last season and tried to go all in on Giannis…Lakers hurt themselves with the Russ trade…

  14. Sports a business majority of these moves are money motivated. That’s why people gotta stop. Talking about ā€œtrade valueā€ your contract is everything

  15. Jason, don’t remember you ever tap dancing on a team like you have here. Mob-level payback. Put Dubs management in a vise and make their eyes pop out. Well deserved. Fully agree.

Would like to hear what Dubs offered vs what Bucks wanted.

  16. One thing Jason didn't mention is that you shouldn't believe in a player that is 37 or 38 that is not willing to take a pay cut to get some good quality veteran players. That also applies to Draymond as well. If those guys took pay cuts then the road to trading 1st round picks and getting back vets is more attainable.

  17. LeBron and Steph have won several championships. It’s normal that past 36 you just don’t win championships. There is a changing of the guard. It’s the media that can’t let go of these superstars. Teams and the nba should be focused on the new superstars who are winning Tatum, joker, shai. This is a normal transition. Jason is talking like Steph and LeBron are their prime and late 20s.

  18. Phenomenal analysis. This take highlights the lack of awareness these two FOs have in regards to asset management and taking advantage of the current situation. Steph and Lebron are two of the TOP 10 players of ALL TIME. Still playing at an elite level. Yes they have shown signs of slowing down in their athleticism and durability but thats exactly WHY you trade for more pieces to put around then to give them a better shot rather than playing scared and thinking for the worst. Its completely idiot to think that the Warriors thought that their picks between 2020-2027 would net them any foundational player that could play meaningful basketball. Like its possible but those stars are alot more rare than you think. So why not package them in to get an establised star and other supporting pieces. Im tired of seeing the FO completely whiff on Steph currys prime and honestly I cant wait for this to backfire even harder when Steph retires. It will expose that the real fortunte in the Warriors growth over the years wasn’t the ownership group but rather the rare fortune of selecting a once in a generation player. Warriors are going back to the dark ages—the exact worry ownership had when hoarding all of their future ā€œassetsā€

  19. I watch Jason's channel but to me he is too trigger happy on the trade front. I think that is the theme of his channel though. Trading those younger players and picks to get good quality players would have been easier if there was more money available but warriors were always capped. The lesson for legendary players is that if you want to keep winning in your late 30s you need to take a pay cut to get better players around you because you can't carry the team the same way that you did in your mid to late 20s. More money or more rings. That is a choice that these players have to make.

  20. Accusing the Lakers of hoarding assets because they didn't believe in LeBron is wild. We literally have 1 tradeable 1st and just traded away our last 2nd dumping cardi g for Kennard, and we are in that position because we blew up a championship team because LeBron wanted to play with Russ.

Just actively rewriting history. What asset did we hold onto at LeBron detriment?

  21. Incredible work Jason. You could genuinely hear the sadness and disappointment in your voice when discussing how both organisations failed both Steph and Lebron. What Lacob has does to Stephs last few years is nothing short of a crime against basketball.

Not having Steph play in meaningful games, whilst he’s still playing at an elite level, is genuinely just sad.

  22. Hate to see it. The Jason made up nonsensical trades that vaulted the Warriors to championship didn’t happen. The warriors haven’t made a significant upgrade since KD, who they allowed to walk out the door for Draymond. But all of a sudden they are going to do some great trades. Smh. Do better Jason

  23. Well as a Warrior fan, I can now shift my focus on the "rebuild." Steph era is over…

  24. I still don't understand if the Bucks think trading Giannis to the Warriors is screwing him over (like they don't want to trade him to a fringe contender), or if the trade return wasn't good enough. I can't imagine they're just waiting to nickel-and-dime the Warriors in the summer for a later (and thus more valuable) clutch of draft picks, at the cost of wasting Giannis' season. But what other team can substantially improve their offer in the summer?

It feels like they want some other franchise to do what they did in getting Dame, so they can feel some sense of community. Or schadenfreude.

  25. Not a lakers or lebron fan by any means but I would make one distinction between the lakers and the warriors. Steph (as far as we can tell) does not put nearly the same amount of pressure on his front office like Lebron does. Lebron and Giannis are two examples of pressuring the front office to maximise your window. I agree with everything you said about the lakers and warrios front office. But I think Steph should hold some blame for never putting his foot down and telling the warriors to shut down the two timeline concept. For all the Lakers front office and LeBron's mistakes, they never attempted to do a two-timeline thing when they have an even older superstar than the Warriors, and I would imagine LeBron himself had something to do with that.

  26. Warriors should have traded the wiseman & kuminga picks, plus Wiggin's contract for a #2 Superstar to put next to Steph. As soon as Klay tore his Achilles, they need a new star to pair with Steph. Six years later and they still havent done that

  27. I wish all the players I like on the warriors – especially Steph – would just stop playing. I hate to see them beat up every night and getting no help. Disgusting front office.
Maybe I’ll go be a hawks fan.

  28. Yeah but they tried to get Giannis. I'm not sure what they tried. But maybe they are looking at next year when Jimmy gets healthy.
