Barry Jackson, Miami Herald, on the Miami Heat:
“Miami went all in on Giannis, made everyone but Bam available, but it wasn’t enough… They decided not to pursue Morant after much discussion… They ultimately stood by their core fundamental principle of not ever giving up on a season and trading players for future picks. They remain hopeful they can make noise in the playoffs.”

  1. Boycott south Florida, play-in and get your freaking head bashed in the playoffs if you freaking make it. Culture is dead !! Spo coaching SUCKS !!!! You can’t blame it on his divorce anymore. Heat Nation wake up!!!

  2. Drowning, we are drowning while above water. I'll bang the drum over this, Bam is our anchor drowning this team. No player wants to leave and play with him, and he's not a Franchise MVP type of guy. He's Raptors Bosh, and were the Raptors. Wiggins and Powell will be gone in the off season, they should've been moved too if they aren't given contracts to stay.

You say Bam is worth JJJ's bid? I say more. Look around us, who has the most 1st round picks available? 14 by Nets, 13 by Thunder, 12 by Grizzlies, 11 by Spurs, 11 by Hornets. Do the Thunder need a rebuild or retooling? Is their window closed? We could've gotten massive haul from the Thunder for Bam who'd gladly overpay with picks. For the Thunder, going all in to trading +8 picks for Bam solidifies their new dynasty to combat the threats like Nuggets, Pistons, Spurs, Lakers, etc.

  3. Your right on everything except one thing! Herro not Powell should've been out of here! In every metric we play better without himon the court! How do you not at least get rid of Roziers contract??? Get rid of it for picks add it with one of the young guys or and get Morant! I'm sick of this shit! Spo better start playing ware and cut the bullshit! Bam watches guys lay the ball up, Herro is getting blown by and Spo says nothing! Ware makes a mistake and he doesn't play again…

  4. i was losing patience in this team maybe a year or two now but this time i don't want to support this team anymore no changes done despite the inconsistencies. I'm very tired of watching them win then lost 2 or more in a row, losing to a team that have almost new players and not evn a superstar in it.i thought they will get Ja when Giannis trade goes off.like i think before Bucks will not trade Giannis to Miami bec. they was hurt when we beat them in the playoffs maybe 2 times and it cost them the NBA FINALS and we are the one enter so they can't accept the fact that Giannis will be in Miami whooping their ass.But just i have said time to go to another team now and watch good basketball than watching this team with no good future in this season.Always watch and read the news about what they trading and at the end of the day no deal done.it's crazy just found my new team to root for i don't like Miami anymore they only make us hope for every changes that they will done.GOODBYE MIAMI HEAT now.

  5. The God’s honest truth is, the last stretch that I enjoyed watching the Heat was when Bisaccio enthusiastically coached Ware Pelle and co to the Summer League championship.

  6. I for one appreciate your vitriol. The team deserves all the venom from all the people like you that help try to keep fans connected to them. They need to be held to the fire for this. The Pat Riley/Erik Spoelstra Heat Culture era is over. At least the winning aspect of it. It’s a T-shitt. It’s a talking point. I fucking hate it right now.

  7. So tired of this mid azz team. Go full blown rebuild mode and trade everyone for future first rounders and tank. NBA is so predictable. Only top 5 picks have the highest chances of landing a future superstar. It’s not guaranteed but it’s still better than being mid every dam year.

  8. Blah, blah, blah…🙄 Im sick& tired of this toxic fanbase & that includes these content creators too. Do you people forget that this was supposed to be a rebuild year for us? There was alot of uncertainty going into this season with the current build of this roster & not a single Heat fan here had us doing much this year. We were going to wait to see if JJJ could bounce back, we were going to wait to extend Herro, we were going to wait to see our new offense & we were going to see how Norman would fit in. I'd say were well ahead of schedule based on the projections we had before the season started. JJJ is a 6moy candidate, thank God we didn't pay Herro, the offense is fun, Norm has exceeded all expectations & is even an All Star! Plus, the development of our young guys is an added bonus! We got off to a great start & that was unexpected. But lets be real, this was a rebuild year for us. Miami absolutely did enough with the negotiations, Miami had the best offer (even with the national media "lying" about it & pushing a narrative). But in the end its the Bucks & Giannis that were on that BS. I'm still very optimistic about this teams short term future & am looking forward to getting everyone healthy & geling the second half of the season. #keepthesameenergy
