hawks want to lose trash ass team
2nd round picks are worth as much as a pocket full of bottle caps! Maybe one bottle cap has gold in it and you get lucky. That's about the same luck of a 2nd round pick. They are essentially WORTHLESS!
Brad, you always comes up with positive spin, even with the worst garbage. I get it. The Hawks are essentially your boss. But damn! This one REALLY STINKS! Onsi has been trigger happy and just pulled one too many triggers. Luke Kennard is the BEST 3pt shooter in the history of the NBA. And he was having his BEST season. Nobody in their right mind would trade that away!

I agree with the moves that the Hawks have made. Jalen needs another year or two as the primary. Zach needs another year or two of development, and the same with Dyson. The Hawks have a high draft pick coming, and whoever they choose will also need development time. After 2 years when you know what you have, then make a big move. Everyone wants a contender today, but you'll never get there by making "win now" moves before you are actually ready to win now. I know that future second round picks are not sexy, but they help in trades and sometimes you find a guy. People were scratching their head a few years ago when the Hawks basically bought a second round pick – which turned into Mo Gueye, a rotation level defender on a team friendly contract. Future looks goods, and in the present, I think the Hawks could be a lot of fun in the playoffs this year.
And Gabe Vincent is a solid defending backup PG. So we brought in 4 players and 3 picks.

Sad to see Luke go…Gabe is a better defender and transition player than Luke! Trying to see the positive. Hoping Hawks run even more now with both Kuminga and Gabe out there…that combo is certainly quicker/faster than Vit and Luke. Wish the Hawks would have SWOOPED in on Zubac..instead of the Pacers! I still think we could have made a better offer then the Pacers did..while still keeping that Pels/Mil golden ticket! We will be seeing a lot more of Jock at Center than Mo or Chriastian now for sure!
I’m excited about these trades as a whole! Onsi flexing that Optionality. We’ve got some young athletes!! Not great, but better back up center. Let’s goooo. If anything, it’ll be fun watching to see how we roll with these players. Also draft pick 😎.

Man, I hate losing Luke. He was an automatic 3. Maybe not 100%, but you know what I mean. Our team was really starting to click. So the new guys need to fall in line. I'm optimistic that maybe the new guys are coming to a better environment and that will spark a resurgence in their play. I'm excited. GO HAWKS!
