Trayce Jackson-Davis fits the Raptors like a glove…

Before going to bed, I wanted to give you a brief, condensed overview of WHO the Toronto Raptors just traded for. From an analytics perspective and a personal perspective, there’s a LOT to like about TJD.

  1. Hey I’m happy if we lose some of these games. Ideally i would like the raptors to finish 12th-14th overall. Would get us a good pick. The best centres in the 2026 draft will most likely go between picks 18-23. That could give the Toronto raptors the pick of the litter. We still have the other second round pick to. TJD fits awesome, great passer and vision for a big (ok maybe not great, but good) fits our system really good

  2. Thanks for your dedication Rob. I was listening to the live last night and was wondering your thoughts on the pickup. The amount of dedication to avoid that $200 to your girlfriend gives me a chickle😊

  3. Oh but he’s only 6’9”
Let’s even go with he’s 6’9. Really he’s 6’10” but whatever. How taller do you idiots think sabonis is? Or Daron sharpe? Pretty sure they are both 6’10”
Positioning and second jump are two of the BEST skills a rebounder can have. He’s good to great on both of these. His IQ is huge. Raptors always target smart players. I would say the only player on our roster that has a mid basketball iq is mogbo. He sees things, but he just can’t follow it all the way through. I kind of expect an RJ trade. And I don’t think it’s going to be viewed as great in the eyes of the fan base. But look at the cost players went for yesterday. Super super low. Barely any first round picks are getting traded. Bobby Webster PLEASE don’t trade our 2026 first round pick under any circumstance. Our true backup centre will be therefor the taking, and they might grow into our centre of the future (after yak)
Lots of European bigs to. Darko will love that. Shot blocker / rim protector = Aday Mara
Offensive focused “big” = Chris cenac jr
Well rounded and can help right away = Henri vesser
    Well rounded Patrick nbonga
All of these guys might be on the board when we get to pick. We should get the pick of the litter

  4. My biggest ask was getting some reliable 3pt shooters for better spacing and a deterrent to our Achilles' heel–zone defences. So we get a small center who can't shoot and low FT %. OK… Hopefully, we can pick up a some shooting before the trade deadline. We should've won last night's game against Minnesota. Losing such a close game within the margin of missed free throws really ticks me off. The easiest most uncontested shot and our top guys have trouble making them. So what do we do?… Go out and get another one. Yet another tactic (Hack-a-Jack) that can help beat us in close games. Not exactly on the same level as the other trades that happened in the Eastern Conference….

  5. Hes a poor man' s alonzo mourning.
He match up well with Duren, Bam , Anthony town all those mobile bags.

He lost his spot in GS because he doesn't shoot outside and green also doesn't shoot.
    Kerr sit him

  6. Solid pickup, he definitely plays bigger than his size on offence & defence. He fits Darko’s system perfect and he’s a lob threat.

  7. 4 recent losses involved blowing big leads ……amateurish turnovers at crunch time ……

  8. just some some highlights and he might be a good one. dunked on wenbayama and blocked giannis

  9. Warriors fan here. You got a good player. He may need some penicillin, got some weird infection called "Kerr-itis." Should clear up once he's actually allowed to play real basketball.

  10. Rob…this is a great pick up. I think he will fit Darko's system of play really well. People have to remember that he comes from a ball movement system in GSW. Son of Dale Davis (and some of us remember what type of player he was…enough said). A great pick up, fits Darko's system. Smart, gritty, rebounder, defends, screener , mobile, workmanlike (good character like his Dad.) …i think the Raptors fans may be pleasantly surprised.

  11. Those people who say a 3rd string center is not worth a second round pick haven’t been watching the Raptors. They have needed a 3rd string center. With Scottie size and skills the Raptors have CMB, Mamu, and now TJD. Finally I think the center position won’t be an issue with Poeltl out. I like this deal. Not flashy but solid deal.

  12. I don't think mogbo is a center but since he has always played it, he isn't confident using his ability as a forward. Need a coach who can improve his confidence and open creativity to shine. Confidence is low but cheap refs not helping his development. Needs some muscle too. Potential is very high.

  13. Last couple big games raps collapsed when punched no bite no offense great trade in picking up an average or below average big to backup a an average below average overpaid big potl.
