I think Pat Riley inflates the value of his own players, especially those drafted by the Heat and be cheap in the process, but other teams are no longer buying into his shtick. But then again, we've seen teams like the Clippers, Nets and Suns going all-in and trading almost everything to get their desired star player, but failing misreably.
But does anybody commenting here actually know what went on in the office with these players and these trades? Can't comment on the outside looking in.
I stop caring after the 2023 finals. We could have moved Jimmy, Tyler and Bam for picks. That could have been at least 7 first rounders but noooo they still have the same front office from the 1900s lol 😂 yall can be stressed if you want watching this sorry as franchise. I refuse to support it now I watch the Spurs
Heat fan here. Kinda pissed, but glad we didn't do something crazy (like Ja). They could wait for Giannis, but now it's tougher. At least find a way to dump salary, trade Jovic for picks, get a bacup center… anything.

As a Knicks fan I don’t defend the Heat often(which is to say “ever”) but being still is not the same as doing “nothing”.
I’ve survived some incompetent Front Offices as a Knicks fan, and one thing they all had in common was constant movement.
