Come on man you’re telling me you didn’t have a a framework for a trade before you just gave away McCain ? That’s poor decision-making. And $7 million trade exception I find it difficult to believe you couldn’t use it first or a couple seconds to get a quality player.

I can appreciate the statement that they didn't find a deal to improve the team before the end of the trade deadline. They still need better bench scoring and someone to take minutes from Maxey. Watford and some acquired player or players will have to get this production.

Josh Harris (who’s in the EPSTEIN FILES) ducked the luxury tax (a billionaire by the way) in the dumbest way possible by releasing bench ‘depth’ / ‘scoring’ and a player who showed star potential prior to a major injury who was literally working their way back from it and SHOWING IMPROVE — on a “contending roster” though, they released McCain instead of Lowry/Gordon/Drummond who barely contribute anything meaningful or consistent. Tell that goofy Josh Harris to sell the team because he’s not helping from a position of ownership AND improvement. They have made the team WEAKER when all of the other teams in the east DID SOMETHING TO GET ‘BETTER’. Y’all literally do not know how to run and manage a professional sports team and have proved that over the course of “the process”. So many positions need to be replaced and the fanbase deserves better.

These owners are taking side deals in cash and assets to basically sell players. That's what happened with Luka last year. It will only become more prevalent.
God I really hate many of our journalists lately. We are doing well this year, we have some potential to win, and we traded away someone that was a bench player with starter upside on a team that doesn't have two all NBA first team level talents. We can't run out 3 6ft guards in today's NBA. We basically reset ourselves with the pick (should be late teans early 20s) and added 3 2nd round picks we can use to hop up into the back of the first or use it to move that first round pick up some. Can anyone here tell me "McCain is better than either Mad Max or VJ"? Because if you can, you don't know basketball at all. I hope Jared plays great and has a future in the NBA, but he is not VJ or Max. I don't love Morey, but acting like this with your questions is ridiculous. NBCS Philly at least asked real questions…thank you!

Trading McCain was a no brainer with how poorly he’s played, the lack of lift, and the inability to defend anyone beyond other PG’s. He was one of the worst players on their team this season yet they were able to get a 1st in likely the deepest draft in NBA history. It’s highly likely they can draft a player better than McCain this summer.
I would be excited if Harris sold the team!
