Rockets made a mistake. Yes I understand you don’t want a 36 year old player and especially someone who’s known to not perform in the playoffs. It’s still James harden tho. And the rockets need a pg. it would’ve been a full circle moment. You traded him away and got all these players you got now, and now you have a chance to get your star player who’s taken you to the playoffs each year he’s been on the team. And took them to wcf where they almost beat a dynasty in the golden state warriors. It would’ve added star power to your team. He can also mentor the young guys. You don’t need harden to average 40 like how he did 6 year ago. You just need someone to facilitate the basketball and run the offence which the rockets are lacking. You can’t have Tari Eason bring up the ball. Idk main it would’ve been special. All you had to give up was Fred and Dorian finny smith and a future first which we don’t need picks cs we already have our players. Imagine a lineup of 1. James harden. 2. Amen Thomson. 3. KD. 4 Jabari. 5. Sengun.
Off the bench you have Reed, arron,Josh, Tari, Capella. That’s a team with great offensive power, surrounded by defensive talented players. With a great coach. This team would’ve been special. But honestly I still think James harden comes back to Houston. My prediction is this summer. There’s a reason why he wanted to join. It’s his lost shot to win a ring. And he wants to do it in the place where it all started. Especially playing alongside KD. Might as well get Russ this summer too. They got unfinished business. So yuh that’s what I think. Rockets should’ve traded for James harden!
James Harden was amazing in Houston and loved watching him destroy everyone in the league! He took us deep in the playoffs but I guess we don’t need that SMH
