Mavericks Rumors: Top NBA Buyout Candidates Mavs Can Sign Ft. Chris Paul

    We need another 7 footer. We only have Lively as a 7 footer but yes Kris Middleton doesnt seem to fit our team needs and I would like to keep Nemhard. IMO, no to Chris Paul

    I'm open to resigning Bags if he plays well down the stretch. Goodness knows we need big man depth given Lively's history and Bags is entering his prime.

    Bagley is interesting. I think the Mavs offense is suited for his game. He has more explosion than Gafford. I am guessing you have to find a way to get him to buy in.

    buyouts that we could snag:
    I think Bagley is a keeper for use as a PF/C and Middleton has a great storied past and I would not expect him to maintain his performances at his past level when consigned to the 9th ring of hell in Washington DC. Who can be motivated to play in that markets hell hole world. Bagley gives us a better 3 point threat than PJ he was the player taken ahead of Luka in that draft and he has size at 6'10 so he gives us a center that plays PF and shoots the 3. Hello McFly but that is what we need to back up Cooper not PJ who is only 6'7. PJ and Naji need to play the 3 that is their size so that is their position and if they cannot improve their 3 we need to find a shooter with SF defense and size who is able to do that and get it in the draft and develop them so we can trade off one or both of those 2. They are not on Coopers timeline enough.

    We need a PG/SG with our first pick.
    We need a center to back up Lively when he is on minutes restrictions and a SF that can hit 3 pointers.
    Trading Klay should get us more picks ditto Gafford and PJ

    We have Naji Martin Lively Cisse Bagley and 3 picks to use for finding guys on Coopers timeline. If we can trade those 3 by next years timeline we will have freed us from larger salary cap money and opened up a budget for more free agents as well as get picks to use in future drafts. Rebuilds mean you get rid of guys that are 30+ the one exception is Kyrie he is like family and has taken this team to a finals with Luka.

    I really hope the Mavs keep Bagley. He's shown that he can put up the numbers on both sides of the ball. Teams just don't give him the opportunity to prove that he was worth the #2 pick

    What’s wrong with shelving Cisse and Nembhard for awhile as the team determines what it has with the new players?

    Cam Thomas if they want a scoring punch off the bench or Drummond if the want some rebounding at the 5. Middleton probably will stay, but he doesn't need to cut into PJ or Naji's minutes at all.

    There is no reason the Mavericks shouldn't jusy buy out Middleton. He obviously isn't going to be on the team next year. I understand keeping Bagley because of depth.
