Sheppard needs to be a starter for this team going forward. Yes, he needs to improve his defense a lot more, but this team needs his spacing and his overall game offensively. Like it or not, this young dude draws the attention of defenses when he's out there, and iIdon't care what Rafael Stone says, this is still a developmental team.
