Pacers wouldn't have had to put that 2026 on the line.. I'd called the bluff on that and walked away. Keon Ellis/Shröder, Missi or Nic Richards and Jalen Smith would have been awesome imo. Had extra picks from all trades..
I like Zu, he's a beast down low. But if you're going to add Zu. You can't risk the 2026. You also should have gotten Keon.. They also need to find their switchable big to play behind him.. one that can preferably shoot a 3. Obi works is fine in stints. But not exactly a switchable lockdown defender. I only hope they have a real plan going into this draft and FA when it comes to picking specific player's.. Not just going in as they are with little to nothing added.. I'd be a bit upset.. and I like Zubac. But we could have done better at the deadline imo.. but it's whatever.. Now what is the next question. Wish I knew what they were thinking.
Tony, really love the Locked On collabs here. Would love to see you and Josh talk about the rise of Furphy, Furphy beer and how Furphy is actually Australia's favorite NBA son, they just don't know it yet.
Pacers front office is tops in the nba. They don't lose trades. I have alot more faith in their ability to work a deal than draft the right guy. 1-4 is pretty much a no Brainer. It's a worthwhile gamble that you can live with either way. Huge upside with really no downside. You have to spend 2 picks either way. Let's go!
I agree Zubac is gonna bring a lot to the team, and as long as they luck out and keep that top 4 pick this year, I love the trade. I just have a feeling they are gonna lose that pick unless they start soft tanking and stay in that bottom 4 in the league standings to maximize their chances.
They need another player who can create his own shot.
He said "Zip Code" but he meant "Area Code". 213 in LA is like 317 in Indy.
If the Pacers start to win… fall to 10 or 11…They still can draft one of those talented young PG… T.J is getting old… Louville and Houston got to young PGs…that can still be available considering the draft depth.
I like Lucas question near the end, how many assets was it worth to the Pacers to stay under the salary cap?
