For as “bad” as the Lakers are. They are a game out of 3rd in the West and their 3 best players have played 9 full games together (none at full strength.) With their big three healthy, they are definitely a top five offense — eighth when it’s been two at a time. Which is what you need to compete in this NBA. They are horrible — horrible — on defense. But great in the clutch, and great with a lead. Flawed team with good upside.
