    Mavs almost allowed the Spurs to score 140 points, people turn a blind eye to the fact that the Lakers and Mavs have gotten worse defensively without AD.

    Unselfish team ball from the Spurs. Guys are happy to pass and screen, because they know they'll get the ball back on a silver platter in the spots they like. Castle stuffed the stat sheet playing in the flow of the game, not because he went out hunting his own numbers.

    De'Aaron Fox must be afraid to pinch himself in case he wakes from a dream; he's gone from the moribund Kings to their polar opposite in terms of team building, culture and coaching.

    Good to see Carter Bryant get more minutes lately. He's still raw, obviously, but the talent is there, waiting to be honed. Ideally, he'll be ready an waiting to take over when the Spurs eventually move on from Harrison Barnes.

    As long as Wemby can play 25-30 mins and stay healthy, Spurs have as good a chance as anyone to go all the way. Already beat heavy favourites Thunder 4 times out of 5, says a lot.

    Carter Bryan's development is key to the Spurs'future, a defensive wing with size and athleticism that can hit threes is still a valued commodity for a contender…
    Castle and Harper are committed defenders, elite scorers and playmakers but a young wing to complement the wing would make the Spurs elite for years, at least a decade.
