Superstar Scottie dominates Pacers, TJD shines in Debut | Post Game Live

Toronto remains without Jakob Poeltl today on superbowl Sunday BUT Trayce Jackson-Davis will make his Raptors debut, and he should get some minutes right away as Toronto attempts to integrate him into their offensive sets as they build up steam for the playoffs. Expect a turnover or two early, a dunk here or there and some nerves. Welcome home TJD!

  1. Biggest reason I was happy with the TJD move was I did not want to trade any picks. The fact this cost us the lakers 2nd and not our own is great as well. I would have thought golden state would have pushed for ours. We are in no position to be trading firsts. They are way too valuable to trade for a small upgrade. And no way in hell am I trading a first for someone to take yak P, and then trade a first and multiple players for sabonis. That’s insane. We played this perfectly. Now let’s add Aday Mara or steinbach if some how he drops to us, I would also be really happy with Patrick nbonga or the kid from Estonia. Lots of European bigs. Aday has a 7’7” wing span, 9’9” standing reach. Wemby ks around 8’ wing span, and 9’10” standing reach I believe. So aday is a massive man, and this would be our walker Kessler make up pick

  2. Scottie should be getting some mvp votes. Top 10 for sure. What are your thoughts on that rob. Haven't heard you talk about that being a possibility .

  3. I hate to say but this was Indiana who Scottie played great against!
Now do it against good teams that are in the leagues top 10 record wise!

  4. I like and think he'll work out much better than most are giving him credit for! Trace will work out Raptors Nation!!!

  5. Man ol man Rob, you are not where you belong! You should be working within the Raptors organization so your knowledge and intellect can be taken advantage of!!
There are 2 people in the Media space I would say this about. Yourself and Blake Murphy! Very knowledgeable and passionate about their crafts.

  6. I was hoping for Day'Ron so at first I was disappointed. Saw your take and felt a lot better. Then watched him play and was hyped. You called it. Except for Mamu and CMB he leapfrogged the bench in his first game and I think he still has more in the tank. Could see he was still feeling his way into the team but he wasn't making stupid mistakes, all upside. Really liked his demeanor too. Positive and always smiling. The rest of the team embraced him too. Lots of interaction. Like he said himself, he is going to fit like a glove. Looking forward to watching him integrate and grow.

  7. UNFORTUNATELY … Jackson-Davis CAN'T SHOOT A SHIT…
    50 % FROM THE FREE FT ….
    … HE TOTALLY SUCKS ‼️

  8. Love your take on Scottie's game too. I was blown away and he looked like he could do it any time he wanted to. At the same time it made me more pissed off about the games I saw Scottie slacking off, settling for 3's, shying off from attacking the bigs… I hope he embraces this releasing of the beast.

  9. 22:14 – I think some things people don't understand is that we traded a 2nd rounder, for 1.5 years of a guy that was learning from Draymond Green for the past 2.5 Years. Just think of the tidbits he can pass along to everyone.

  10. Great live it’s been a couple games since I felt this good about a win, and scottie mvp talks 🔜

  11. TJD played like a 7 footer, glad he’s on the team. I don’t care about his shooting, he does everything else well.

  12. Honestly idk if I can recall Scottie ever really having a bad game while being fully dialled in and giving maximum effort. When he turns it on, he really turns it on, one of the main reasons I’m always gonna stay super high on him.

  13. TJD is really talented, smart player who will be a positive overall.

However on another day he's not getting that many FTs and he is instead missing open layups & dunks.

The eye tests backups the data with him missing easy shots & open layups.

TJD is elite at catching lobs, but every other type of shot inside the paint is inconsistent.

    Very Precious Achiuwa like.

He had the best spacing on GSW too.

Not sure how much he can improve on that.

He will be a very good hustle big.

  14. This is all fine against Indiana who are ready for next year, this team in the playoffs will get destroyed. They can't have that in playoffs, bad start, a lot bad immature plays, just not ready 2 play, playoffs u can't do that. They got Detroit next, hopefully Detroit can teach them a lesson. They don't let u score easy, good luck.
    IQ still Trash ✌

  15. I had a slight worry that this could be a trap game. We have a history of losing to bottom-feeders. Those two first quarters didn't inspire a lot of confidence either, especially from a shooting standpoint. Defence was nothing to write home about either. Then somebody gave Scottie a hit of adrenaline over the half-time break and he fully dominated the shitty team that are the Pacers (this year) as a franchise max player should. I'm happy that TJD got to experience a blow out win IN Toronto, where he shined. He seemed to be really having a good time and building great chemistry with his new teammates. Now let's bottle up that 3rd quarter and kick Detroit's ass next game! Their defence philosophy can be described as: "Well…they can't call every foul." For some reason, the refs seem to be OK with their highly aggressive "defence" (more like assault). I would like to see the Raptors match that level of physicality. NO "AND 1s"! If you are going to be called for a foul–make it count! I want the Pistons players to leave the game battered, scratched, and bruised (just like they do to their opponents every game)–especially Beef Stew! Welcome to Toronto TJD, and go Raptors!!!
