The Charlotte Hornets Just Fixed Their Biggest Problem
Could Coby White be exactly what the Hornets need?
In this clip from our Hot Hand Theory Trade Deadline livestream, we break down why Charlotte’s biggest problem isn’t talent — it’s survival without LaMelo Ball on the floor.
Collin Sexton has been productive, but his best stretches have come with LaMelo. When LaMelo sits, the offense stalls, the spacing tightens, and the Hornets lose structure. That’s where Coby White becomes interesting.
We discuss:
-Why the Hornets desperately need a guard who can stabilize the offense when LaMelo is off the court
-How Coby White’s growth as a scorer and decision-maker changes Charlotte’s ceiling in the non-LaMelo minutes
-The value of a guard who can toggle between on-ball creation and off-ball shooting without killing spacing

I'm born and raised from Charlotte and if we get a solid big man to relieve Diabate we can really make some noise in the east. Getting Cobe White was a plus like you said all we needed was that extra scorer.
Kon should get most of the credit here bro. He lead the Hornets to there first summer league championship. Melo is not the leader that Kon is here. Its crazy how people keep giving Melo all the credit for this turn around.
