Miami Heat REFUSE to Tank—Spo WON’T CHANGE | Bam Adebayo & Kel’el Ware Minutes POWER Win vs Wizards

Miami Heat crush the Washington Wizards on Super Bowl Sunday, fueled by the dynamic Kel’el Ware–Bam Adebayo frontcourt pairing. As fans speculate about potential tanking, Erik Spoelstra delivers a resounding message: Miami’s culture is all about competing for wins, not draft odds. With the Heat holding firm at the trade deadline, can their winning mentality break through mediocrity, or is another play-in round looming?

Wes Goldberg and David Ramil break down the Heat’s dominant win, highlighting Kasparas Jakucionis’s historic shooting night and Kel’el Ware’s impact alongside Adebayo. The hosts dish out their “credit cookies,” debate the future of the Bam–Ware lineup, and provide updates on Tyler Herro’s injury status.

  1. Man you need to stop that. The Denver nuggets drafted their lead man, the Milwaukee bucks, Boston celtics, Golden State warriors. All of these teams drafted their lead man. The Spurs did it. Come on man what are you talking about! The OKC thunder is one of the only teams that traded for their best player. Stop with the kiss ass talk buddy.

  2. I don't believe in tanking……BUT I DO BELIEVE IN USING OUR YOUNG TALEN AND STARS!!

  3. The Heat incentivizes mediocrity, to push an agenda that they are different than the other team, that they can catch lightning in the bottle and make miracles, that's the Hallmark TV special that they are trying to sell. But if teams like the Wizards, Hornets, Magic and Hawks gets better because of tanking, then what's going to be the excuse of the Heat? When they'll miss out on Giannis, Ja or any other superstar player, how will they get the trust of the fanbase that they are building a better product?

  4. Love your show guys but can we please refrain from using the name Giannis? Thank you 👊

  5. Dont tank like the Wizards!!! Then says lets give out credit cookies to a team that wants to lose!!!!😂😂😂😂 come on Wes! Smarten up

  6. We also need to stop over valuing our own players! Just like a car, its only worth what someone is willing to pay…learn to sell High!!!

  7. Don't talk about Bam's pluse- minuse when it's positive, when you're mute when it's a Negative. Ya, Bam had a good game against the Wizards, the worst team in the NBA

  8. No tank = play in every year. Spo is not a good enough coach to get the team to 6th seed or better.

  9. We ain’t changing is the reason I fell back from watching every game. Play in bound yearly 👎🏽

  10. We comparing A Heat Rebuild Attempt to the Magic and Trading for a Young piece that happens to be SHAI 1000% counts as a good tanking move don’t spill propaganda im tired of winning 43 games every year

  11. Why does a step back have to equal tanking? Maybe just try to sneak into the top 10? Adam Simon picking 4-7 spots earlier would be phenomenal lol

  12. You can still push Heat culture & organically tank. That’s by pushing out a young roster. Blowing it up. There is no excuse to be stuck in the middle the way we are. Also Wizards and Magics aren’t proof that tanking doesn’t work. You really think if Mia had multiple years of top 10 talent from the draft they would be the Wizards lol. No. With this culture, coaches and program we would do what 8 of the last 10 Finals winners have done. Won a title with a top 10 draft pick talent and took a step back at some point. That’s the model

  13. I'm so glad we are now playing our youngsters like Ware & Kas and Larsson, Jaquez, Gardner so is Davion now we are giving them the chance to prove themselves, give them the confidence and make them play hard….nice to know what their ceiling is!! 😊😊😊

  14. Honestly..this team good be real good..if you had a true big (Ware can learn from)and true point guard…kas has potential.i wish he had a true point guard to learn from…no slight to Mitchell..with that said.. that's why you keep wiggs…trade Tyler or Powell get another athletic wing that can score..and play defense ..Pelle plays hard..but he is not a starter.. plus you can't guard with your face..his lateral quickness is sub par..like his defense..but I like him…off the bench…those two pieces are the difference between borderline playoff/play-in and eastern conference championship

  15. I understand what the Heat THINK they are accomplishing, but it is in FACT ass backwards.

If you think you have to denounce tanking to get all the Heat culture stuff (toughness, effort, professionalism/consistency), then why are the Magic, Rockets, and Thunder all better examples of those things? They all tanked many years recently. They have better habits than we do. The Heat aren’t even close to the best examples of “Heat Culture”.

If you’re so high on your own culture/development, why is your best idea every fucking year to trade for someone that’s been developed in another team’s culture to come save you?

No one tanks by throwing games. You literally get banned from the league for that. All tanking means is playing from a handicapped position (sitting vets). There is no bad habit forming involved. The young players would elevate their level of competitiveness faster.

The other thing you can do, as mentioned, is trade for a young star like Indy/OKC did, but that requires trading Bam to get that guy. They won’t do that either. So they just refuse to do anything that everyone else does to help themselves, and they’re not getting ANY extra competitive benefit by doing it the Heat way.

It’s a broken philosophy in the NBA now. That’s why we’re against it. I’m sure we all loved these things about the Heat initially, but you now have seasons of data telling you it’s dumb and not even working a little bit.

We’re only really ahead of teams that want us to be ahead of them, which kind of makes us the worst team in the league.

  16. Trade for a young player that has potential to shine. Not an old star that is about to implode. Heat can draft well accumulate picks..
