Tanking Epidemic!? The NBA has PROBLEM and ‘integrity’ is at the core of the issue | NBA Today
On NBA Today, I’m joined by Tim MacMahon, Bobby Marks, Chiney Ogwumike and Danny Green to discuss the current state of the NBA, including concerns that some of the league’s bottom teams may be intentionally losing and how Adam Silver and the league office could respond.

As long as the NBA has system where they reward failure… people are always going to try to fail.
Sam hinkie started it all
Shameful. I get the front office wanting to tank by trading away talent but a coach on the floor taking out his best players to purposely lose is just disgusting and a new low for the NBA.
So much for Mark Cuban’s quote over a decade ago about the NFL losing its popularity. The NBA is in decline.
Take my idea guys been saying it for years the bottom 4 of each conference play a 1 and done style tournament for the first pick in the draft. Imagine giving young Cade a chance to win his way into a better teammate. It would help the obvious rigged drafts lebron to Cleveland, drose to Chicago, wemby to san Antonio, Cooper to dallas theres like 20 other examples. We all know its rigged. Half of the teams at the bottom have been eliminated since Christmas. A elimination style tournament where the winning team gets the first pick gives guys who actually want to improve a chance and guys who dont we can all see them for who they are. Im looking at you Zach lavine and others. And for people saying well a good team would tank to get a top 8 pick its not a given 1-8 will even turn out. Look at giannis, joker, klay etc
Use my idea Adam I can help tweek it just hit me up for more ideas to save this league i have tons
Change the rule of drafting benefits. Like make ranking based on winning aming loser.
Eliminate the draft. Remove salary limits for player contracts, but impose a hard, an actual hard salary cap for whole rosters. Teams with stars can’t afford to give the best rookies big contracts.
If your a team that has earned a top 10 pick 2 or 3 years in a row. Your pick should be automatically be put last in the 15 lottery selections, regardless of how bad your team is. That way, GMs will be incentivize to have winning “gap” seasons
Malika you look fkn awesome girl 🔥🔥🔥
Loterry play-offs to determine draft order of 1-8. Leave 9-15 order by record. At least then, the worst team won't end up with pick #1 and maybe that creates incentive to not be so bad
Why hasnt Adam Silver announced Giannis replacement yet when they has been known the longest over SGA and Curry being out? This makes no sense!
The answer is blatantly simple. Eliminate the lottery. Have every team rotate getting the first pick. Blame Utah if you want, but they have never had the first pick of the draft and they have been in the league for 50ish years.
The draft is rigged anyway. What difference does it make if teams tank? Just do what the league did with the Mavs. Remember when Cleveland got four #1 overall picks in a row after Lebron left? lol Then he returns with Kyrie and the ability to trade for Kevin Love? Stop the nonsense
Who cares about tanking There are bad teams every year, oh well. Let them get a high pick and get better. Only Media cares.
Millions to sit is crazy work
Adam Silver needs to snatch that Utah pick. What I watched against the Magic the other day no one should ever see on an NBA floor
That is why I stopped watching this league years ago. The competition level went down a lot. Players are just there to get paid and do not care about effort integrity
I still think the draft is rigged. But by chance it is not, this sounds like a stupid idea but maybe give the 4th-6th worst record the highest odds.. it would incentivize tanking teams to try to win a few games. You should not be rewarded for being a bottom three team.
