I would just like to say, this crew is some of the best in the game. I miss the show on NBA TV and was watching when i was in middle school. Im 24 now and you guys bring a tone to the NBA that is much needed in this awful toxic media land scape. We ofc miss Leigh but I love that yall keep on chugging and are still posting content. As a Dallas fan, the trade of Luka was the worst trade of all time, full stop. AD was never going to be loved here given the circumstances and how he got here. Just like Nico, we wanted him gone at whatever cost. Start over. To get ANY value for a player who doesn't play and leaves a bad taste in the mouth with this fan base was a win.
This shows how much of a fluke the 2020 championship was. If it wasn’t for covid and having 3 months of rest the lakers with AD would not have been healthy

The mavs went from the 2nd apron to under the tax, with one trade. Got rid of 4 players who weren't playing and added flexibility to build around our ROTY. The luka trade was bad. Move on.
Winger/Dawkins been playing chess for a minute, but no one realizes it. They just assume it's the same ol' tic tac toe mf'ers from previous regimes. And fair enough. Guess we'll see how they handle these extensions. Hopefully they can keep them both tradeable down the line.
Now that AD is off the Mavs, there are now several runways for LeBron James to choose from if he doesn't finagle a deal with the Lakers – the Cavs, Clippers, the Mavs (please keep him away from Cooper!), or even the Bulls.

My dad is comparing this wizards team now to the 2016-18 era. He says “You basically got wall / gortat equivalent now, plus all those athletic wings and sarr as 4. Tre Johnson is Beal. It’s like the 2017 team with upgrades at the 3 and 4”

You guys undersold that part of why the Mavs didn't get more back is they shed 3 other bad contracts alongside AD

Mavs wanted to have cap flexibility and roster clarity going forward. They achieved both. They are saving 70 mil. Under the new cba getting rid off AD who wanted a new contract was essential. Biggest winner is Rich Paul. He got his will.
The best part of this move for the Mavs is removing any last stench of Nico and his boys…Exum, AD, D Lo were casting a dark cloud over this franchise and now the smell is gone and the sun is shining on CF
