SPOTLIGHT: Orlando Magic Center Wendell Carter UNDER SCRUTINY—Must PROVE Playoff Value

The Orlando Magic’s center position is in the spotlight as Wendell Carter holds down the paint. But key questions remain about his playoff readiness and whether he can be the center who takes the team to a championship.

Carter has had a solid season after struggling through last season. But he still must prove his worth as a rim protector and rebounder as the Magic try to climb back up the standings after the All-Star Break.

The Magic are still figuring out their center position. They are starting to experiment more with their lineups, giving Jonathan Isaac more time at center and even trying a lineup with Paolo Banchero as a small-ball 5.

Orlando is also starting to get more contributions from Moe Wagner as he gets back up to speed after returning a month ago from a torn ACL.
