Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey lead Sixers to BIG TIME road win over Suns
The Philadelphia 76ers improved to 3-1 on their west coast road trip after beating the Phoenix Suns 109-103 on Saturday night. Joel Embiid led the Sixers with 33 points, nine rebounds and three assists, his eighth 30+ point performance in his last 10 games.
Tyrese Maxey sealed the game late with a huge step-back three and a string of free-throws, and finished the night with 28 points, nine rebounds and six assists, despite struggling from the perimeter for most of the night. Maxey led the Sixers with 13 fourth quarter points.
Dillon Brooks led Phoenix with 28 points. Devin Booker added 18 points and nine assists, but shot just 1-7 from 3-point range in the loss.

I found Morey's comments that he was very confident that he sold high on McCain to be insulting and offensive… And just wrong, bc I don't know if anybody remembers the offseason when some people had McCain ranked as the number one trade chip in the league…I believe in Jared bc he is a high character guy…I think he will make grow in leaps and bounds with each passing year…Not sure if I should lay this decision at Morey's feet bc I would venture to guess that J Harris gave Morey and mandate to get below the tax…Can't believe they also blatantly ignored Embiid's request to get better at the deadline…I'm not sure this team will ever win with J Harris as the owner bc he is more focused on profits than the product…Wish he would realize that the value of the franchise would improve with further playoff pushes and being a contender every year (without squinting)…That's just a fact

I think trendon is better suited as a decision maker than ball handler. He struggled mightily against defensive pressure vs anyone outside the 3pt line where he can back them down. I see his value, but he ain't the backup pg they need. At least he understands how to play basketball

Watford, Barlow, I can see being future starters with the sixers as the 3 and 4.
Justin Edwards also has 6th and 7th man skills to be developed. The sixers have good young pieces and also Bona I like his improvement on the rebounds, he plays good defense already getting better with rebounds
It's rare, but man I love seeing Embiid box out. Somehow he managed to get 9 rebounds in 3 qtrs and didn't get any in the 4th. But more of that please. It makes our defense so much stronger
Not gonna lie, Watford as a ball handler is starting to look good. I do like how Nurse is taking Maxey off the ball more.
