Great management of the disastrous wall/beal contracts. Will Trae and AD ever play together? Who knows. All I know is they were able to get a star PG that creates good spacing and is an offensive mastermind (also very into the DC culture), and a superstar 4/5 to complement Sarr in the front-court. None of the picks they traded away were their own.
Trae alone will be great for the team, so will AD alone. Them together with that young core (Tre, Sarr, Kyshawn, Bilal, etc) would be very fun to watch.
DLo will be a solid 2nd option at SG behind Tre in his second year, Carrington and Sharife Cooper solid plug and play guards, Will Riley blossoming into a VERY solid PF (6ft 10 beast who moves like a guard at 19yo!!) and other decent contributors in Watkins, Vukcevic, and Whittmore.
DC ball is looking very promising in the next few years.
The Wizards somehow turned Jordan Poole and Kyle Kuzma into Trae Young and Anthony Davis without giving up any valuable assets, AND did it in only a year. Honestly, at this point, if the Wizards' GM was elected President of the United States, I wouldn't be surprised if we had achieved world peace before the midterms.
This is a huge win for wizards I'm no wizard fan but ik that they could be potential contenders if everyone is healthy and Alex sarr takes a big jump next season
