What impressed you most about Paul Reed’s performance in the Raptors game?
Whats more disrespectful then the Pistons being 1 point dogs is that according to FanDuel, since Harden went to Cleveland, Cleveland has now replaced the pistons as favorites to win the Eastern Conference!!! ZERO RESPECT. Ive been loading Pistons Conference winner, Finals Winner and Cade MVP bets for weeks now….the odds are still ridiculously low. Throw a few bucks on them people!!!
You need to stop calling Paul Reed the best 3rd string center in the league. It diminishes how good he actually is. He is the best back-up center in the league, point blank, period….regardless of 2nd/3rd string. Hell……the way he has played in every opportunity this year, he might actually start on a handful of teams if he played for them. He is the read deal.
I hope we roll the Knicks again without Duren & Stew bc it will absolutely break their fanbase completely.
Reed literally almost beat the entire Raptors team in the 1st quarter. He had 16 points & I think they only had like 19, if I remember correctly. That is wild.

BBall Paul is unbelievable. I would love to see a way for him to find some minutes. Maybe giving Duren a blow and play Stew at the 4. I think he has earned the right for a little bit of playing time. The guy can flat out play both ends and stretch the floor a little at the 5 spot. Consummate professional too.
I would take the 7 and run. That is a lot less than I was expecting. Anytime the fireworks start like that 2 coaches have to find Stew and tether him…immediately.

I know it's early but extending Paul would be ideal.
I would love to see the Pistons pick up Jeremy Sochan, he fits the identity of this team perfectly, and we do not have a real option at Backup Power Forward, and his defense would be extremely useful in the playoffs especially if Tatum returns..

I’ve been saying this all year, and it’s not anything negative about Tobias. But having Tobias come off the bench would not only help him prolong his career with Pistons but also help us as a team.
1. It allows B-Ball Paul to enter rotation. 2. B-Ball and Tobias play good together because B-Balll covers Tobias lack of athleticism with his speed and energy. 3. Tobias not having to play stater minutes will have him better rested to close out games. 4. Tobias brings shooting and stability to 2nd Unit to prevent long stretches of no scoring.
Beef Stew starting at PF with his brother JD brings instant energy, defense, and increased toughness and camaraderie to the starting lineup.
Starters – Cade, Duncan, Ausar, Stew, JD
Bench – Daniss, Ron, Javonte, Tobias, BBall Paul
JB really knows his guys. If it's Stew or Duren he doesn't give them a whole quarter like he did with Paul and he even gave Tolu a pretty long run to get his feet under him. Reed got in a pretty good groove and didn't really start looking tired until maybe the last 2 minutes of the 1st quarter.
I’m convinced that 75% of modern professional team sports comes down to the scouting crew and the insights they can gather on the competition.
Look at how many new or relatively unknown players have stepped up in the NBA and NFL and have immediate success. But by the time there’s enough tape on them, then opponents react and can scheme for their style of play.
Please ask JB if Paul has earned a right to play every night. His playing time is a joke. I don’t care he’s third string.
Huerter had by far his best game as a Piston and it was still only meh. I’m hoping it is just early and he’s getting used to the team, but I’m concerned that is not what the last two seasons show.
I was very impressed with how much the Pistons dominated this game throughout. The Raptors are a team that matches up well against them on paper. But we just witnessed that on paper is not the same as on the court. I’m with Greg Kelser, I love Paul Reed.
I was also glad this game wasn’t close because it allowed me to flip to the UM game where they almost choked to Northwestern.
I think 7 games is to many, because it was complete chaos until Stew decided to get in it, which was only after Miles went after JD for a second- third time as things seemed to be dying down.

This victory over the Raptors is why us old dumb farts have been screaming DEFENSE for the last several years…it really wobbles the rest of the league and it wins you championships.
