We need punishment to come down around the Finals. Kawhi will be the backup trade target for a lot of Giannis suitors. I’ve been keeping up with Pablo Torre. Kawhi needs to have his contract voided and suspended for a year. Clippers need to lose a lot of picks. Steve Ballmer needs to lose some money.
James harden wanted out tho he wanted to get paid and the clippers didn’t wanna pay him 😭 so why not get younger if u have the chance with another great player instead of just keeping harden on the team

I think the primary punishment will land on Kawhi und "Uncle Dennis", and the Clippers will lose one first-round pick so the league can make it seem like they cracked down on the team as well. They might also put a whopping big fine on the Clips, which Ballmer can easily afford.

I'm more curious why a punishment hasn't happened sooner, based on how quickly the league punishes teams for "tanking". Part of me also thinks that a punishment for the clippers might not happen because i'm sure the rest of the league does more or less the same thing and opening an investigation on Kawhi basically opens up every other scandal

The best punishment for Kawhi isn't vetoing his deal. Its vetoing his deal and suspending him from the NBA for life
They don't need a smoking gun, this isn’t a court of law. The nba just needs to believe it more likely than not/for the health of the leage the commissioner has extra powers.

I think the punishment is coming down after the All-star break. Its at the Clippers facility this year and they don't want all the news out of the AS game to be about this scandal.
