The Rockets should have to enter this year draft for a top 10 pick. They gotta package Tari or Reed and 2 FRP for either Kingston Fleming or Keaton wagler. They have to do this deal. Imagine Sengun & Fleming playing together or Sengun & Keaton wagler together. That gonna be 🔥🔥🔥
Yes. Because the team has no offensive schemes. They depend way too much on KD and Alpi to make magic happen for the offense. They don't make plays to open them up against teams that like to double them at all. I don't think getting Fred back changes anything. Of course he helps, but it doesn't mean much to have him if the offense is trash.
@11:57 Playing hard works on the defensive end. Not so much on the offensive end. You need scheming to open the players up. I don't see the coaching staff having the team do anything to open KD and Alpi up when they get doubled all game by better defenses. I don't see them working out ways to put Amen in positions to succeed to counter other teams letting centers roam on him. Ime leans into defense to a fault at times as well when he refuses to play Reed because he doesn't think Reed is a great defender.

The biggest problem is there is seemingly no solution for our shortcomings due to our salary cap situation. Something needs to be said about the situation Stone has us in. This hasn’t happened with other teams.
Ime is a great coach. He's a culture changer, and prioritizes defense and that's great. But his offense will never win a championship. Let's be real.

Okogie and DFS need absolute minimal minutes. Neither dude offers spacing and they're not making teams pay for leaving them open. If we play Davison over them I think our offensive production will increase. He's not a great shooter but he seems to at least hit the open shots. I hate that Adams is hurt but I'm glad to see Alpi not being forced to play with Adams, Amen and Okogie at the same time anymore lol
Keep in mind, DFS has more poor shooting years than he has good shooting years…AND he's coming off injury…this is exactly what I expected.
I've seen KD give up on multiple possessions every game…..

The sooner we realize that we not going that far with all the covering up and game planning we focus around Sengun. Numbers are great but them shits be empty as fuck. When is the last time Sengun won us a game by himself. Hopefully we see it when it matters in the playoffs but if he can not do that its no way we can continue to lean into him being the #1 option and continue to clog the paint take touches from other players set bullshit screens thats only for him to get the ball back. Since he has been drafted we have put our other players on the back burner to make it fit around him. Jabari cant get to his post game or mid. Amen driving into all types of clogs paint. Kd even kust says they operate in the same spots in his latest pod. We gotta be real. Two fake as all stars selections. That true shooting percentage is what is going to be its been 5 yrs. He is not efficient at all. Same shit boys talked abt with JG only his points lead to wins.

If the needle mover for the rockets are FVV, STEVO, & DFS. We fucked going forward. Why if the Core 5 is that good why are we relying on them guys. The excuses are brazy. Guess we not that goood. This shit crazy. If we need those old guys to be legit we are FUCKED
Jabari has been much better recently but is not the Rockets best rim protector. Both KD and even Sengun have been as good or better (all 3 average about a block a game). I would even put Clint and Stevo in the conversation because their mere presence deters plays at rim.
Mind boggling that Alp "can play better" after putting up triple double but pouring out love and excuses for Bari. All the Rockets core 7 are great kids, they will all say they can play better – using their humility as evidence against him is ludicrous (no hate on Brinkley, I am a big fan). Elephant in the room, the Rockets starters are exhausted and/or playing hurt because they play some of the heaviest minutes in the NBA because Udoka just cannot trust his bench. Stone has been completely oblivious to the roster shortcomings since Fred went down.
I am also worried that they lean too much on Kd. God forbid if something were to happen to Kd towards post season , But when you look at our line up we seem to have it all. we just have to shoot more 3s around Alperen and Amen
The team is too talented to be functioning this way. The coaches do not put our players in good enough positions to succeed. There needs to be a counter for isolating Amen
DFS has been extremely disappointing, his shooting is terrible, his release is so sloooooow every shot he takes.
52:39 THANK YOU. I hate this idea that our young guys just need to "play better" yes they need to make shots but the way in which the shots are being taken, the process needs to be better. The way we get into our offense is so guardable and easy to wreck. Moving players around creates chaos and I feel Ime is afraid of that. He needs to understand a little chaos is good because teams need to figure you out more. We are too easy to read.
